For the second edition of Tessellate's VA series Teamwork, they have looked to Peru's SINM and Lithuania's S II P for a fast-paced breaks focused release. These are all tracks aimed at the dancefloor with SINM taking over the A side and S II P looking after the B side.
Firmin is a resident at our parties and this is his second EP for us. It's a new alias of his focusing on more progressive club tracks. Carlo who did the remix for us runs Neovinyl records and is a resident at IPSE in Berlin.
Born and based out of Paris, Corentin Chantrell, aka Occibel, is a young DJ and producer with previous releases on Chat Noir Rec, Unanime Records and INSOUND, which illustrates his flair for producing vibrant, groove-based house tracks laced with enticing minimalism. Occibel's 'Vernal Station' EP sees him join the London-based crew Tessellate joining the likes of Kylin Tyce, Firmin, Armless Kid, T. Jacques, and label bosses The Trip as they continue to evolve their superbly curated discography.

Tessellate is a south London party that has been running for the last five years predominantly at Corsica Studios in Elephant and Castle. The label is a natural progression of their events, featuring artists and friends they have booked and met over the years.
The debut release comes from a new alias of a regular guest to their nights. Firmin crafts two tracks for the club with Brassica (Feel My Bicep) and Tel Aviv's Moscoman delivering the remixes.
For TESS013 Tessellate have looked to BODJ to supply the goods. The Greek born artist has had excellent previous releases on labels such as Ewax, O.G.E, & Memoria and Visionquest and this one also does not dissapoint. The EP features three originals plus a remix from Slow Life affiliate Paolo Mosca.
For Teamwork Vol III Tessellate has reached out to some familiar faces as well as bringing in some new debuts. Four tech house tracks featuring Occibel, Local Dub, Karaba and Duowe from Fraise Records.
'Teamwork' is the first in Tessellate's series of VAs which will aim to have a musical thread running through each release with this inaugural one focusing on the proggy side of breaky electro. This release comes off the back of four Tessellate outings in 2020 from T. Jacques, Kylin Tyce, Armless Kid and label bosses The Trip, which picked up support from the likes of Peach, Barely Legal, Cinthie and many more.
Firmin is a Berlin-based artist with two EPs out on Tessellate and kicks off the pack with 'But On Second Thoughts, Perhaps I Will' which lays focus on skippy rhythms, sunshine soaked pads and pulsing bass rolls before French producer Karaba who has previously released on T. Jacques' Nuances de Nuit label follows with 'Vice Versa' offering up syncopated breaks- tinged percussion, otherworldly cosmic melodies and elastic acid squelches holding your focus throughout.
On the flip, Manchester's Aiden Francis delivers the vibrant house track 'Cloud Generator' featuring skippy, energetic drums, resolute fx which develops wonderfully above the uplifting, spiralling synths while Paris-based producer Les Ondes rounds off the EP with 'Phase One' as the celestial atmospheres come to full force on this spiralling electro cut.

Tessellate is back for a second round and this time they are bringing out some heat from Turkey via Aleksandir. The A side features two club ready tracks, starting with a euphoric and emotional journey by the name of Yamaha. Following that Belgium’s Asa Moto slow things down and provide a wild and trippy acidic remake of the original.
Flip the record over and you’ve got yourself some heavy chillers. Dreams is a really dreamy (!) piece of work that is guaranteed to leave you relaxed. Friend of Tessellate Seb Wildblood steps up next to do what he does best and provide a lovely remix of the og. Finally we close things off with deeptrak, which as the name suggests is a deep track.
