Australian wunderkind's Jensen Interceptor & Assembler Code step for CE024. 4 tracks of dark driving electro with a robotic stomper of a remix from CE head Sync 24.
"Den Heliga Ån" (The Sacred River) is the debut album of ambient wizard and techno connoisseur Aos. The album is themed around the river Helge Å that runs through the town of Åhus in the southern parts of Sweden. The town in which Aos grew up. The music reflects both a deep love of the river and the nature that surrounds it and has a melancholic feel of a time passed by.
On the course of this album Aos invites us to take the journey on the river with him: from the sweeping electronic gestures of timelessness in Tiden upphör vid Mölleholmen, via the melodic pings that can be heard throughout Graften, and the ritualistic electronics at play in Jag eldar vass vid Kavrö until the blissful mellowness of Vår i biflödena – where spring has arrived, and both the river and the music are filled with a calm melancholy, yet joyful in it’s celebration of a winter that is ending.
This debut album collects six tracks of soft techno, ambient atmospheres and field recordings with a close attention to details, harmonics and electronics.
Composed and recorded in Stockholm by Aos. Field-recordings made on location in Åhus, Sweden. Mastered by Andreas Tilliander in Repeatle Studios.
This time around, Greta Cottage Workshop indulges in a favourite pastime. Dubbed out 10” Vinyl.
Flashback Of Time: A haunting Dub Techno peregrination . . . giving you that grind it out happening, with your nearest grubby basement/dub rig interface. Big Inside The Ride.
Utopia & Visions: More of a ‘Sunday Morning, yet I’m not in bed’ experience - replete with laughing children, alien windstorms and DMT pixies chattering in your third earhole. Waste a whole day with two copies and a crusty old mixer.
Specifically Niche Music For Specifically Niche People. Keep Smiling 😊
RDMA has been with GCW for time – yet this is a first time outing on record. Worth the wait.
Blurring the line between drum ’n’ bass and techno often tested by friend and occasional labelmate Pessimist, Overlook delivers four of his most atmospheric, genre-busting tracks on Osiris Music uk.
Opener ‘Down The Rabbit Hole’ leads with frantic tribal rhythms, before the eponymous second track slows the pace a little to lock the listener in a claustrophobic club full of slo-mo swaying bodies, distant vocal samples reverberating around even-more-distant hits.
On the B side, the pace continues to slow: ‘Residual’ drives forward with a sustained tension and breathy hints at something lurking in the shadows, before ‘Crisis’ eschews beats altogether to explore a more sombre mood: an ambient piece that feels like it’s just been unearthed from a forgotten time.
The foreboding title of Anthony Linell's latest EP doesn't come as an unnecessary warning. If you're inclined, 'Alienation From Self' presents a stern collection of tracks that thrill and bite in their severe austerity. For the less inclined, the machine-precise claustrophobia might just signal that it's time to leave.

Produce a deep modern techno track that will spread through minimal grooves with complicated electronic sounds incorporating electronica and IDM! The next Modern Hypnosis sees the first official vinyl release from Another Channel. The young German producer Jonas Schachners (Another Channel) has been at the fore front of the new wave of ‘Dub Techno’ that has been lurking in the underground over the last few years. His dubbed out analog sound has left some accrediting his productions as ‘picking up where Rhythm & Sound left off’.
His debut 12” gives us two very unique tracks. The A side ‘Lord 35’ is an energetic synth driven tune which sitting at 135bpm, in a two-step style is made for the dance. The B side ‘Corruption’ sees an international connection with the original composition created in Germany by Another Channel, then the overdubbing of vocals supplied by Ethiopian vocalist Enushu Taye (The Black Jesus Experience) in her native Amharic, recorded and mixed by Mystik in his Melbourne studio. The warm analog stabs and punchy bassline accompanied with Enushu Taye’s haunting vocals makes for a beautiful piece of music.
Marking his first appearance on Northern Electronics, Copenhagen's Rune Bagge delivers a debut album of capricious rhythms set against the thrilling glare of an icy daybreak. There are some remarkably magnetic moments to be found in the ambient pieces on 'Pink Dreams,' though the friction burns from 'Five Elements' and the rest of the club numbers will demand urgent attention.
Mathias Schaffhauser, founder of German label Ware Records debuts on Third Ear with a 3-track 12". This is 'big-sky', expansive, driving Techno; even the beatless version of Grad Minus 12. Mathias Schaffhauser's Ware Records had a very recognisable sound. It was one of the defining labels of the Cologne Sound, most associated with Kompakt these days. But in the 90s and early 00s, Ware was as significant a label, especially for DJs. This release is very much a good example of THAT sound, still sounding fresh and bristling with good energy.
Yeelen is a brand new project forged in the heart of a forgotten past. Joe Drive, of Lux Rec fame, and Maurizio Martinucci aka TeZ aka Pragma have joined forces to sculpt, in their own words, "sonic constructions that transcend the canons of electronic music." A bold statement, but then again this is a pretty bold EP. "Techno tribalism and ritualistic soundscapes" are the bedrock from which this partnership cultivate their sound. Figures and forms of a bygone time are conjured through intoxicating drum patterns, lost lands of dense jungle and windswept hills summoned through loops and samples to ensnare and entrance. Polytheism explored through the prism of a polyphonic synth, mysticism born from machine drums; "Ethnosonology of the future."
Frame Of Mind is back with a re-issue of another unknown gem from the early 90's. UK production team Dave Campbell and Viv Beeton are most known for their UK techno, rave and bleep classics as Ubik. It is under the alias of Timenet they released an obscure white label in limited quantities in 1992. This untitled and one-off 3-tracker remained fairly unknown up until today. It shows quite a different side of their stunning production talents. Dishwasher is a rough drum machine work out topped with a wild bleepy SH101 synthline a la Mr Fingers. DX Moods is a spaced out techno tune combining mysterious pads and crazy DX-100 programming. With On The Move the UK pioneers come closest to their Ubik sound: Mad UK techno with a hint of rave. A previously unreleased and stripped down version of this track is included as well.
