After a successful debut last year, London-based label Welfare returns with its second release.
Once again, music comes courtesy of the label’s owners and is aimed at the dance-floor. Zigzagging the grey area between House and Techno, hypnotic and relenting moments offered by The Turbine Hall and Anicca are offset by more melodic and experimental sounds of Narcopaloma and A Is For Atom.

b2. A Is For Atom
A journey through a twin world powered by life experiences. Moments soundtracked by inevitable encounters and occurrences. Psychedelia and ambient collide over ten tracks to create a rich and lucid colour palette of sounds, all fused together by a deep rooted love of glitch and electronica, that somehow stops the listener from venturing too far into the unknown.

Whiskey Disco #49, Rabo & Snob's 3rd EP on the label, is further proof that this Tel Aviv duo has their finger on the pulse of modern disco production.
Energetic arrangements perfect for tension building at any tempo. This duo have also recently released affiliated projects on Mahogani, Strictly Rhythm - not to mention their previous work as Soulico.
A – Thank U Jay: The A-side of the School Dance EP is a forthright stomping house affair. Solid kicks that are at the forefront of the mix that chug along in a conventional fashion. Snapping snares and crisp percussive elements supports the kick drums. There is a hello vox sample that is in operation throughout the track, which for some maybe slightly overused. Retro 80’s style bassline and synth sound sets are the main stay here and work really well together. This is one for the late night groovers and butt shakers amongst you.
B – Anything With A Moment: is a dirty little thumper, with a very odd use of the kick drum that stutters in off beat patterns. Don’t let this be off putting though as when used in combination with all of the other elements works well. The other percussive details have a nice swing to them and as a whole feel solid enough. The synth sounds used are really cool, raw stab sounds that are softened at points in the track by pad and synth styling’s. This track will probably take a few listens to be absorbed properly by the listener but give it a go you maybe surprised that you did.

Since its launch at The BPM festival at the beginning of the year, Hector's VL Recordings imprint has be making it's mark as a fresh breeding ground for some of the
finest talent the underground has to offer.
To finish off the year as strong as they started, Hector called upon one of London's finest selectors Seb Zito to host the fourth release of 2016, with his four-track 'My Sound' EP
Seb Zito is best known for his efforts as a core member of one of London's most treasured event series, Fuse London, where he also acts as the label offshoots main A&R.
2016 stepped right up for Seb and saw him make an impact on Kerri Chandler's Kaoz Theory, where he recently put his stamp on two of the labels releases.
One for the man himself on 'Turn Off The Lights (Who's afraid of the Dark) , and the other for Jamie Jones's debut effort on Kaoz Theroy on 'Old Skool Acid'.
For his contribution to VL Recordings Seb Zito has created five tracks that that ring true to the trademark sound of his London roots, dating back to the days he cut his teeth on the early garage rave scene in the capital.
‘My Sound' does exactly what is says in the title and brings that punchy taste of London swagger to VL Recordings.

Rolling straight off the back of another successful 'Vatos Locos' Off Week event at City Hall, Barcelona and following his 'Jacuzzi Killer' EP, Hector is now ready to unleash the third installment from his new label 'VL Recordings'. 'Fusion' is a collaboration from core Vatos Locos member David Gtronic, and flourishing Romanian up-and-comer IULY.B.
The 'Fusion' EP is a product of David and IULY.B combining their musical forces to create five unstoppable tracks, satisfactory for any deep dance floor moment, bringing a beautifully subtle tempo to the groove.
Colombian David Gtronic is one of the most exciting talents on the underground circuit and is currently smashing dance floors all over Europe and beyond. Outside of VL Recordings he has worked with: Suara, Monique Musique, Kina Music, Serkal, Oblack and Moan Recordings, as well as collaborations with Livio & Roby, Santos and his most recent with Leon. He's a founder member of Hector's Vatos Locos camp, and a must see selector.
Romanian talent IULY.B has been making his mark on the music scene since Butch spotted him back in 2013. This saw him release his first vinyl at 'Bouq Records', which found itself in the hands and sets of Ricardo Villalobos. From there he continued a stellar run of releases on imprints such as: Claque Musique, Memoria Recordings, and Savor Music. His 'Astronomic' Franco Cinelli was also included on 'Cocoon Ibiza 2014' compilation Mixed by Mathias Kaden & Popof. Now, Hector gives him the chance to put a stamp on 'VL Recordings'.
Following the widely acclaimed releases of Fouk & Kito Jempere, our autumn release is nothing but a strictly family affair. Kid Grimm is indeed a brand new alias of our dear friend Alland Byallo, longtime collaborator of the label both for his production & awesome graphic works. With an impressive discography crossing over quality imprints such as Third Ear, Bad Animal, Real Tone or Rawax, the San Francisco born and Berlin resident always got something exciting coming out of his machines.
Being always one of the very first lucky ones to listen to his fresh material, Dairmount discovered one year ago a bouncy little tune called Monkey Disco. He instantly felt in love with the hybrid mixture of catchy "bumpty bump" basslines & chords and the lose synths wizardy of Alland. A surprisingly timeless vibe that could have been blessed by an imaginary collaboration between Derrick Carter and Floating Points.
It took one more collective mixing session at Sasse's Blackhead studio and the expert mastering of Atjazz to put the final touch to this very first Kid Grimm single.
And as great minds never come alone, Dairmount offered to one ilustrous label fan to revamp Alland's track. The man who instantly approved the original was none other than Deep House legend Charles Webster and he delivered amazing perspectives reminiscent of the universe of abstract House geniuses as Dj Koze or Pépé Bradock.
An absolutely delightful package for all connoisseurs...

Showcasing the exceptional talent within the Underground Audio family, we are proud to bring you Boney EP by our very own Kevin Over. Hailing from Germany, Kevin has been producing and performing from a young age, with a keen focus in the tech-house and techno genres.
Over the recent years, he has taken the industry by storm and is now a household name with releases on Truesoul, Mobilee, and many more.
It gives us great pleasure to share with you his freshest sounds within this four track EP.
Kicking off with his signature dark and heavy sound is Boney. With deep kicks and a diabolic sub-bass as a foundation, this track gears itself to be a minimal tech weapon.
Layers of smooth synth stabs and snappy vocals, and breaks filled with sustained synths create an air of mystery throughout, making this track a wonderful after-hours groover.
Up next is Call it a Tool, an uptempo techno number formed over Kevin's keynote underground feel. Pulsating with attitude throughout, this track is perfectly
placed to build up energy in any application.
A deeper yet percussive rendition of the original by Tripmastaz and Basement Kid offers another hard-hitting techno weapon.
Closing off the EP is Real Love, a chunky groover with a fast-moving, fat bass riff pushing at the seams of the track.
A variety of bright percussion flows right through, controlling the pace and growing tension, leaving you wanting more.
Boney EP by Kevin Over, proudly brought to you by Underground Audio

Four floaty dubs & re-rubs from San Francisco's Ryan Bishop aka The Beat Broker (Bear Funk, Flexx, Adult Contemporary, etc). Many heads probably best know Ryan as the brains behind DREAM CHIMNEY, one of the longest-running and most consistently interesting online hangouts for like-minded music freaks.
This 12" busts loose with "Satin Kimono," a funky floor-filler with the most perfect AOR song title in existence. "Make It Happen" cools the A-side down with a mellow yet uplifting soft rock groover; dubby voices beckon the listener to break free and never look back.
"Honey It's You" is a pumped up edit of an old 'Chimney classic and was crafted specifically as a wedding gift for fellow Dream Chimney member Hatchback - now available for the first time in a physical format! Larceny Dub soars to new heights of AOR bliss, featuring an extensive re-working of a record that was passed along to Ryan by an ex-Deadhead neighbor.
Chupacabras and Brother Y join forces to form the debut vinyl release from Tutamen.
Brooklyn resident and elusive production talent Chupacabras offers up two machine-powered cosmic cuts, expanding upon the territory explored with his contributions to the Tutamen tape series and last years EP for Go Finger. The as-yet unknown Brother Y makes a first appearance with two hypnotic numbers on the B- side.
