Entering the red planet with turbulent fury, Double O kicks up a dust cloud with “Martian Soil,” an amen workout layered in dissonant pads worthy of the war god’s namesake. Gremlinz & Jesta continue dropping the pressure on “Recourse”, whose iron drums are bolstered by rumbling bass, threaded with hypnotic inner planetary transmissions. Finally, we warmly welcome Effra to the Rupture camp. “In Breaks We Trust” pulsates across the tense percussive landscape like a beacon from the abandoned Martian ice cap...
As Rupture’s journey across the solar system of breaks continues, tribal drums call from the darkest heart of the Earth planet. On “Baiana,” The Untouchables conjure up ancestral voices from the rich depths of the Amazon Basin, while J Robinson’s “Congoman” arrives with dripping percussion and a bassline caked in rainforest soil. Dubmonger makes his Rupture debut with the dramatic atmospherics of “Varmints,” whose warped snare riffs sit atop rumbling low-end that pours slowly like night time magma.
Always seeking to push the boundaries of jungle, we welcome Response into the fold with two collaborative cuts of introspection for the pre-dawn. Manchester based Nick Owens is the master of epic journey music and we’re incredibly excited for his debut release.
Response & Pliskin deliver the rolling amen epic “Stolen Keys,” fully saturated in hypnotic pads and echoing strings that drive through the black of night into the soft gray of morning. Vocals by Lara Lee were recorded at Red Bull Studios and add an additional layer of emotion to this transcendental 13 minute track.
Next, Response collaborates with Sealord on the keys to deliver the meditative “Running Through,” layered with mellow instrumentation and deep vibes perfect for the after party.

Fresh from the frontiers of modern jungle, Rupture returns with a monolithic EP from new-comer Mani Festo. The tightly textured breaks of “Immortal” create the foundation for a set of stabs that will cut through even the foggiest dance floor; while “Awake” balances a dreamy pad atop cascading percussion and a thick, rumbling bass line. On the flip, snatches of 808 claps flicker in the shadows of heavily crushed drums before a familiar sample of off-world blues noir flows across the entire operation in “Hold the Line’’ – a track that has earned a lot of attention since being on heavy rotation in Rupture residents’ DJ sets. Finally, closing track “Warehouse Theory” stacks disembodied organ riffs over driving breaks to round off Mani Festo’s debut Rupture release.
Gathering mass as a party, and gaining supremacy as a label, Rupture has long been at the center of the underground drum and bass cosmos. Following the acclaim of their Fifth Column LP, the Planets Series champions the junglist titans who inhabit the Rupture universe. Releasing in pairs and pressed on marbled vinyl, this project features cosmic cuts from the likes of Om Unit, Forest Drive West, Sully x Outer Heaven, J. Robinson, Seba, Djinn, and Sonar’s Ghost, among others.
The atmospheric jazz of Theory’s “Heartbreak in Paradise” starts a rolling, ten- minute voyage through the dense clouds of Venus, the second planet in the Rupture series. Followed by the dreamy, tonal loops of Dead Man’s Chest and Thugwidow’s “Sleepless”, the chilled vibes on Venus prove to be the perfect compliment for Mercury’s hot fire.

Mercury leads the series in dramatic fashion, featuring the swirling tracers of Sully’s drum work combined with the menace of Outer Heaven’s raw basslines. On the flip, Sully turns up the heat and keeps the dancefloor rolling with the churning stabs and disembodied vocals of “Epoch”.
Now that the dust is beginning to settle a bit after the incredible reaction to our mammoth 5th Column LP project, we are pleased to announce a 2 x 12" release from one of the most exciting minds on our roster, and it's an absolute stormer. Forest Drive West's productions have always been essays on the balance of groove and complexity, and the balance between airy fluidity and cavernous weight, but these five tracks here are the mature work of a producer who is a master of the tonal vocabulary of soundsystem music.
The five tracks on the Set Free EP veer between abrasive amen carnage, apache breaks chopped and refracted, throbbing sub bass, and a rhythmical dexterity that catapults him into the vanguard of practitioners of the art.
As always, thank you all for your continued support. We hope you enjoy playing these tunes as much as we have.

The Fifth Column is a secretive resistance movement that strikes from within. This album is its manifesto.
From cavernous, tribal experiments in dub vernacular to tense, tweaked out soundscapes to glittering atmospheres refracted through sheets of furiously inventive amens, each of these sixteen tunes stands on its own merits while reflecting a different facet of our sound; never stuck in the past, never nostalgic for the sake of it, but staying true to the soundsystem roots of this music. Each one is an exact articulation of our collective identity.
We believe that every single one of these tunes channels the spirit of the original artform, and that every single one of the artists involved has put their own twist on the culture and built something that will stand the test of time.

Co-creative mastermind behind the Rupture movement, Double O finally returns for his first home release since 2015’s Wisen Up EP. With one of the most immediately recognisable sounds in jungle today, this four track EP is a testament to how effortlessly Double O is able to conjure a diverse range of musical landscapes, all unified by his distinctive style. The Border EP is a mix of dance floor toughness and heady vibes that could only be produced by Rupture’s own Double O.
A spectre looming large across the underground since his early days with Reinforced, Sonar’s Ghost announces his debut on Rupture. With a masterful balance of delicate melodies, raw drum breaks, and cratering bass, he pays homage to two of the biggest names in drum and bass, Dillinja and Source Direct. A welcome addition to the Rupture catalogue, the beats of Sonar’s Ghost carry his trademark nuance, revealing something new with each spin.
Famed for his appearance on legendary Bristol label Livity Sound [https://soundcloud.com/livity-sound/sets/forest-drive-west-system-show-them], newcomer Forest Drive West is a mysterious and as yet ‘unknown’ artist who has yet to reveal his/her identity. Switching from Skull Disco-esque tribal techno to now appear on London’s No. 1 Jungle label Rupture LDN is a nice switch-up proving this producer’s versatility. The music does not disappoint. Pure jungle music. Just how it should sound. A spectacular release that further cements the return of the sound.
Rupture continues it’s premier role in resurrecting and redefining jungle for the twenty-first century. Newcomer Outer Heaven joins the label’s roster for their eleventh release, a hefty three-track EP full of dubbed-out atmospherics, cracking breaks, and contemporary productions techniques.
The winds of jungle-past blow across the sparse landscape of “All Headz” - a screw-faced, dread-laden amen workout that leaves just enough breathing room between assaults for the dance to catch its breath before being pulled back into the swirling undertow. Menacing notes hang in the air of this hazy soundscape, punctuated by warped mic chatter and vintage samples.
On the flip side, “Rankin’” quickly elevates the system with a hypnotic cut of Afrofuturism dripping in thick, resonant vibes. Precision bursts of acidic fire cut through the smoky atmosphere, leaving room for cascading avalanches of amen fury, while pressure only builds again through the linear repetition of the vocal sample.
“Phantasm” begins with a fog of melodic atmospherics that quickly drifts across a heavy, mechanical drum pattern. A savage, organic rhythm emerges, bolstered by hoovering stabs and jangling effects. Although completely unrelenting after the first drop, this closing track never loses its groove.
Ltd 12" Vinyl Housed in a custom screen-printed sleeve. Long-time veteran Spirit makes his highly anticipated debut on Rupture delivering two cuts of perfectly crafted destruction. Following on with the label’s legacy representing the original, true, raw heavyweight jungle sound, ‘Provider’ starts out stepping; creeping into an uneasy dread, building anticipation to a curious breakdown before hitting with the tectonic rumble of ten tonne rough amenism, broken up with sharp, clean edits & balanced with an almost subsonic, deep bass. Featuring again all the hallmarks of the classic old skool Rupture style, ‘Request Line’ teases with a simple intro, setting precedent for drop of deep rolling syncopated beats, switching flawlessly from break to break & varying with a tight intricate workout of edits & subtle effects, layered over a dynamic warm sub.
