The gang around Top Shotta has caused quite a storm during the last few years and blew out the scene's muff. Where many leave their favourite tech house club screaming when the first broken beats drop, the party just starts for Ruffhousers! Versatility has been and will always be the foundation of this collective. Three label compilations, several vinyl releases, excessive sessions from Munich to Berlin and an increased spritzer consume throughout Germany are showing proof that the concept works.
In February comes the time, when even the last leek will understand that these guys are the real deal. Compilation No.4 will be hitting the scene, featuring a bunch of sick artists, amongst these grenades like Desto, L-VIS 1990 or Munich's Cyber Dancehall export hit Schlachthofbronx, who - just like L-VIS 1990 - will be contributing a CD-exclusive remix respectively track. Top Shotta has got the biggest thighs in the biz and his filigree hand as a curator feeds the ruff creative pool perpetually with testo energy. The selection process for No.4 almost took him a year, and the fans will be delighted to encounter tracks by new artists like Lowquid, Lyeform, Munich's unsigned hype Sturmmaske plus Filter Dread and many more. No need to mention that the Ruffhouse Crew will be dropping some severe bangers, too.

When visiting Fabric Club in London for he first time, Ruffhouse boss Sverre aka Top Shotta was asked politely not to wear a tracksuit when he came back next time. Rumours are that bouncers and club affiliates even took him for an “original UK street mobster”.
So far the story, indicating everybody ought to know that these Ruffhouse guys are taking their business seriously: Pushing UK Bass forward. Packed parties in and around Munich, 3 stable compilations with support from internationally renowned producers and DJs. Now the first vinyl EP hits the streets, clubs and record stores.
Pastiche from Copenhagen is first to pave the way for the things to come. Drawing his inspiration from various genres such as UK Bass, Hip Hop and Baltimore club tunes up to Ambient and Electronica, his first EP comprises all these ingredients. Here put down on four massive joints, for buyers of the digital release even two bonus tracks are included.
The A-side was created for sinners by sinners - welcome to “122 Eden Beach”! Two massive Techno infused, kinda Juke style Bass bangers at 130bpm, taking no prisoners. One of these being the reinterpreted version by the man Top Shotta himself, alongside Munich’s notorious wunderkind Danny Scrilla, well known for his releases on Cosmic Bridge.
On the flip, Pastiche lingers below “Street Lights”, his love for ambient music shining through in every second of the track. Boys Noize madman and spliff head no.1, SCNTST, puts some ruffneck jungle twist to the original, proving once more that he surely is one of the biggest talents in electronic dance music today. “Deeper Causes” sums up all the flavours of Pastiche, Dub and Detroit sounds being twisted into a spacy roller while the long awaited “The Happy Fall VIP” certainly lives up to the expectations of those who loved the original version. These grenades will only be available for the buyers of the digital release.
Pastiche’s tracks have recently been featured in sets of the most valuable players in the UK bass scene, amongst these Mr. Mitch, Mumdance, Dusk & Blackdown and Desto, only to name a few.
With this release he will certainly attain more fans of his music and beyond that put Ruffhouse on the map of every Grime, Jungle and also Techno lover. These guys are the future!
