Released 19th August 2016
Yes, here it is, the first full solo EP from our amigo 4004! Together with his mate Sebastien Vorhaus, he is one of Mexico’s top producers and has a quality output on labels like Freerange, Faces, Vicario Music and last but not least Quintessentials.
Living in Berlin this summer, 4004 will get lots of inspiration and will have a busy musical journey. And hopefully some sleep! For now, his new “Body Night Lies” is another dope release for your house collection - damn deep and moody!

How deep can you go? Well, you better ask Japanese master Jank! Jank is another example of these “hidden gems”, but releasing on labels like City Fly, Mysterious Works and Boogie Café says it all. The “Piece of ballad ep” on Quintessentials is super deep and emotional House music. Keeping the BPM low and adding soul power and a jazzy laidback feel make these 3 tunes massive. Don’t look away if you’re into Theo Parrish and alikes!
a1. Has Gone
Released 26th October
After his much acclaimed „how is club 246“ (Quintessentials 59) some months ago, our Detroit maestro and non stop producer is back! We love Javonntte as he covers everything from live and direct cuts to smooth deep house tunes as you will hear on his „private party ep“. No big fuss just pure house music! Are you invited to Javonntte’s private party?

Following on from the positive feedback for KRL's "Third" EP (Quintessentials 62), we had to give the standout track "Never Leave" the remix treatment. "Never Leave" is a straight up house track with thosebeats and rhythmic synths, but with the outstanding vocals of Janine Small it makes it a head turner!
The A-side remix, courtesy of Greymatter (Wolf Music, Unique Uncut) keeps the overall vibe of the original, but adds more dirt and bass business ready for club action. The B-side remix courtesy of Quintessentials buddy Loz Goddard (Church, Razor-n-Tape) takes a step into deep broken beat territory while keeping the beautiful vocals. We love both remixes, job's done!

Over half a year has passed since Loz’s last outing on Brooklyn’s Razor N Tape but he’s back on a solo tip with this 4 tracker of slightly deeper and more synth-driven cuts than we’ve been used to this year from the man. Slap Dancer sets the tone with punchy drum & sample hits, easily the most club oriented of the bunch. Duplicity sees Loz back on that slightly funkier sound we have come to know of recent times, but with a little added dustiness. Flavour adds a little extra sprinkling of dust with it’s rolling drums and chords - proper chillin’ basement tackle. Be sure to check that B2 cut Sunset Vista for that slow, machine driven & synthed out acid jam as well.

Deep, raw and real? Then NY*AK is the man! Andrew Scott has been releasing superb bottom heavy deep house groovers for many years on various top labels (like Local Talk, Paper or Ninja Tunes Technicolor). Now it’s time for Quintessentials! The A-side features „after the sun“, a deep, minimalistic and sexy groover, and „mind“, a blissfull and rich low BPM tune for an early morning come down. The B-side starts with „vice“, a proper Detroit track – bassline, strings, rims and snares - and finishes off with the funky and mellow „onions“. Deep, raw and real? NY*AK anytime!
a1. After the sun (feat. Franc Syx)
b2. Onions (feat. Mark Hand)
Originally released on the V.A. Quintessentials 50 and making rather big waves, “Grooff Machine” from Ponty Mython gets the remix treatment for some more dope grooffs! Chicago hotshot Chrissy (The nite owl diner, Classic, Razor n’ Tape) puts enough Disco and Acid in it and offers a great clubby alltime classic. Ponty himself fuses lost of House, Disco, Funk and 808 busines so that you can grooff to the max. And our mexican buddy Soul of Hex (Vicario Ltd, Freerange) keeps it dark and loopy before adding some splendid riffs. Time for the Grooff Machine!
