ARKVS offer a staggering and deep Techno cut that would soothe any dance floor situation. Echologist and Matrixxman open up the B side with ''Threshold'', a funked out Techno cut that uses immense chords and a thumping bass. Steve parker closes down this well balanced VA with the excellent ''Destination Moon''.
Rotterdam based duo ARKVS release "Oppression EP" through the PRRUK black series. The result is an exciting package of futuristic techno sounds and searing drums. The duo has managed to find a perfectly executed trip throughout the different sides of ARKVS. While the general tone is darkish throughout, there are some uplifting atmospheres and hints of hope to be found in this package. While the title track is a thumping piece of dancefloor techno, the cinematic voyage ''Our Deepest Fear'' is a stand-out production of adventurous electronics. On the B-side we find ''Chose To Defy'', which is a tough work of dark techno and the somewhat more mellow "Nonviolence" on which an intrusive bassline is combined with some beautiful synth sounds.
Yan Cook has positioned himself as one of the key figures in modern day techno and without hesitation one of the faces of the Planet Rhythm imprint. This time around he returns to his warm home with the eight-track counting ''Drifted Island''. Even though it's listed as an EP it's almost a full length album in it's own right. Yan Cook takes the listener on a voyage that covers all sides of his musical spectrum. Sturdy technoid rhythms and otherworldly structures make ''Drifted Island'' a true work of versatility.
Occassional duo Pjotr G & Dubiosity have become household PRRUK names within short time. A couple of months after the well received ''A Man Is No Island EP'' a new submission to the ever extended PRRUKBLK catalog was provided in the form of ''Savant'' a 4 track spanning work of staggering techno with the significant filmic elements that Pjotr G and Dubiosity cleverly incorporate into their hazy works of techno. Whereas the A side is based on these elements, on the B side darker elements are introduced. ''Savant'' is a ferm but uplifting techno record.
Parisian 'Von Grall' contributes a new records four track counting EP to the Planet Rhythm black series.
'Tracking Happiness' is a lush piece of esoteric Techno that spans over six minutes and showcases Von Grall's artful approach to contemporary eletronics.
'Case History' is a percussion laden cut that delicately changes further on with slabs of FX while maintaining it's mystic atmosphere. 'State of Being Violin' is a state of the art piece of techno music completed by deep percussion and moments of wild FX. 'Self Portraits' serves as the closing track.
This cut showcases taints of experimental electronics and dystopian techno. A bonus track called 'Better Places' is included in the digital release.
Subonation of Perjury is the latest in the series of heart wreching Techno releases from Dubiosity for Planet Rhythm. Like always, this release is heavily concentrated on touching synth's and growing melodies that might leave the listener in a euphoric gaze. It's Dubiosity's signature to combine dark and intense techno rhythms with layers of melodic goodness. Throughout the whole EP this style is present. Elysian Fields is the darkest cut of them all but also here a vivid choir comes through to mellow things down. Pjotr G and Dubiosity join forces for a remix of Remy Kruijer's ''Ho Chi Minh'' on the B2.

Argentinean duo YYYY. returns to Planet Rhythm for their sophomore effort called "Relic EP". EarToGround label boss ''Gareth Wild'' comes up with a solo effort for Planet Rhythm. "Warriors In the Dance EP'' consists out of 4 dance floor cuts which all have a somewhat dark approach to them. Nevertheless, Gareth Wild shows his versatility throughout these cuts which span from Percussive to more ominous cuts. All of them contain the same feel for fat textures and dance floor appeal.
For the 9th instalment in the PRRUKWHT series, Holland based Dubiosity makes his re-appearance on the Planet Rhythm imprint with the 4 tracks spanning ''Denying The Antecedent EP''. For the A1 ''Richter Scale'' the Dutch producer goes into very atmospheric territories with a pad based track that keeps on building whilst maintaining an overall mellow vibe. Title track Denying the Antecedent is a more dubbed out operation which cleverly uses non 4X4 drum patterns and crawling synth blops. This track is also based upon an utterly atmospheric pad sound. ''Juxtaposed'' is a more firm track that's somewhat tense but also with a smooth ambiance. 'Sunk Cost Fallecy' serves as the more aggressive and paranoid closing down.
After his EP together with Ness, Giorgio Gigli returns to Planet Rhythm with another Italian collaboration. This time he is joined in the studio by Roman talent VSK. Whilst Gigli is known for his hypnotic productions on labels such as Prologue and his own Zooloft, VSK has been steadily releasing bangers on labels such as EarToGround and recently Perc Trax. Both gentleman's styles are blended flawlessly together in a masterful EP. Reverb soaked sounds are effortlessly merged with powerful kicks and basslines. From the haunting atmosphere on "Silent Age" to the trademark VSK synthwork on the B-side, this special collaborative debut is one that we surely hope to to present again on Planet Rhythm!
Ukrainian Techno artist Yan Cook is swiftly turning into one of Planet Rhythm's usual suspects. The follow up to this years XX LP comes in the form of a 12'' package called ''Loophole EP'' 4 deep and dark Techno cuts that represent the Yan Cook sound to the fullest. Expect swells, cleverly placed Arps that are all part of his rhythm driven signature sound.
Matrixxman and Echologist team up for PRRUK's 2X12" EP "Black & White". As the title suggests, this comes in a Black + White package showcasing sturdy Techno rhythms that have happened when these two stalwarts got into the studio together. Acidic tones, thumping bass drums and adventurous FX sweeps. From rhythm driven Techno cuts to the more oddball bits, "The Black & White EP" proves to be a versatile yet energetic package.
With a steady stream of releases from both the usual suspects aswell as young artists, Planet Rhythm continues to expand their catalog. Politics Of Greed EP features a selection of artists currently involved with the label. Debutants Responder and ARKVS team up with the label's rising stars Yan Cook and TWR72 for a strong solid techno four-tracker.
