Nervous Horizon
Release Date - 5th July 2019
Lithuanian producer Mantas Povilaika, aka DJ JM, has announced new five-track EP, ‘No Days Off’ – his inaugural record for blossoming club label, Nervous Horizon.
After first starting to emerge on the London club scene radar back in 2015, Nervous Horizon label heads TSVI & Wallwork played some early JM material at their debut London Boiler Room session in 2016, sparking a relationship that has since birthed collaborations on TSVI EPs ‘Sacred Drums’ (2016) and ‘Rambo’ (2018).
After releasing a further two full EPs on NKC’s hard drum label Even The Strong, ‘No Days Off’ forms a natural extension of his work with TSVI, only this time more extensive and detailed. From the anthemic, late ‘90s euphoria of the title-track to the searing club energy of ‘Mad Move’ ft. TSVI to the dark, pulsing techno flicker of ‘Bar Bell’, it is an EP forged at peak time and only tempered by mystical EP closer, ‘Original Taste’ – a track inspired by local Lithuanian club sounds and faraway worlds.

Burgeoning club label Nervous Horizon kick start their 2019 with the release of DJ Plead’s debut EP for the label, ‘Pleats Plead’.
Comprised of six, hard-hitting, hi-impact club tracks, ‘Pleats Plead’ taps into the Nervous Horizon DNA fully and feels like a natural extension of TSVI’s critically-acclaimed debut album, ‘Inner Worlds’, released back in November 2018.
Based in Melbourne, Plead’s Lebanese heritage inspires much of his output, resulting in steely, powerful drum work-outs often spiked with the rhythms and timbres of Lebanese pop and traditional Lebanese wedding music. Blending these with a hybrid mix of contemporary RnB, hard-drum and other more breakout dance styles, Plead’s music is instantly recognisable and, as evidenced by his storming debut EP ‘Get In Circle’ on Air Max 97’s DECISIONS label, is now regarded as one of club music’s unique new talents.
On ‘Pleat’s Plead’, he pushes his sound further than ever before too, stripping individual elements back to deliver a record bursting with boisterous, industrial energy. Under the guidance of label heads TSVI and Wallwork, he embeds his signature palette – Lebanese flutes, Mijwiz, vocal samples and subtle padwork – within a ruff-and-tuff drum-track framework, keeping things breathless from start to finish.

a2. DJ Plead - Salt and Pepper
a3. DJ Plead - Ruby (Vinyl Exclusive)

Nervous Horizon is very proud to present TSVI’s debut album: ‘Inner Worlds’.
The album is about reconnecting to one’s true self and the discovery of the inner worlds: it is born from an ongoing artistic journey, which began in TSVI’s childhood. The artist grew up with parents who practise Hinduism, which is quite unusual for an Italian family. In most recent times he was hugely inspired by his partner’s religious and musical background, after she exposed him to Middle Eastern music and Sufi ideologies. TSVI started creating tracks that were influenced by bellydance percussionists such as Emad Sayyah and Hossam Ramzy, combined with Dancehall, Tarraxo and Trance.
The album is largely influenced by the role of music in transcendental Sufi practices and resembles an inner journey through different states of meditation and self-discovery.
Vedic and Tantric knowledge are also important here. Each track is a state of mind from the opening one, ‘Root’, to the last one, ’Crown’, as they represent the first and last Chakras and all the other states found in-between.
Get ready to embark on a journey through mind, body and soul.

Inspired by a fluid mix of global club sounds including UK funky, kuduro, techno and rap, Nervous Horzion co-head TSVI is to kick off 2018 with the release of new EP, ‘Rambo’.
Comprised of six tracks, including collaborations with DJ JM and fellow Nervous Horizon boss, Wallwork, as well as a bonus remix from Luru, ‘Rambo’ details how TSVI’s sound continues to evolve, taking on bold new shapes in the process.
A natural extension of 2016 EP, ‘Sacred Drums’, here he scopes out fresh influences that can be felt right the way through the tracklist. From the blaring kuduro flavours on opener ‘Pull Up’ to outright UK funky club jam, ‘Funky T’ and sparse, frenetic drum workout ‘Roller’, TSVI meshes together a network of powerful, drum-centred tracks.
Features from DJ JM and Wallwork bring new focus to his work too, with ‘Jaguar’ — a cranking, off-piste drum exercise hit by bursts of sharp, metallic synth melodies and zapping bass stabs — spotlighting inventive sound design and brilliantly abstract thinking.
A bold marker for a producer already at the top of his game, ‘Rambo’ forms the perfect 2018 lift-off point for one of the UK’s most exciting young club labels.

Burgeoning club label Nervous Horizon follow up label boss TSVI’s recent ‘Sacred Drums’ EP with a new EP from Houndstooth, AUS and R&S signee, Second Storey.
‘Spin Cycle’, comprised of three tracks written in the same warehouse space Storey shared with TSVI and fellow NH boss, Wallwork, earlier this year, details a micro-world of new ideas that Storey manifests within a sprawling, hyper-specific web of weird and wonderful bass abstraction. “It’s not often you go to a viewing and your potential house-mate actively wants you to make noise with no restrictions”, he says reflecting on first meeting TSVI while looking for a new place to live in London.
Energised by this new sense of creative freedom and boosted by a support network pro-vided by the extended NH crew (“Gugli (TSVI) and Tommy (Wallwork) were buzzing off these tracks when I played them”), Storey is at the top of his game across the EP.
From the fuzzy, looping programming on the title-track, written as if in a ‘spin cycle’, to the swinging, crunchy pressure on ‘Critters’ and the muffled, industrial-tech tones to ‘Sludge 3D’, ‘Spin Cycle’ plays right into the NH ethos — making music that sounds like nothing you’ve heard before.

a2. Critters
b1. Sludge 3D
Released 4th November
Nervous Horizon co-head TSVI follows up 2015 debut EP, ‘Set You Free’, with powerful new record, ‘Sacred Drums’ — a 12” that delves even deeper into the raw, no-frills potential emanating from the NH camp right now.
Already sought after for his fierce and complex club material, ‘Sacred Drums’ sees TSVI up his game even further across four heavyset new solo productions, as well as bringing in NH crew members, Luru and DJ JM, to collaborate on two digital exclusives.
Opener, ‘The Healer,’ is an immediate case in point, a dark, rasping drum workout that’ll function both in or away from the club, while EP tracks ‘Darabukka’, ‘Parade’ and ‘Assam’s Children’, although punctuated by deft sample touches and flashes of melody, deliver the sort of power-drum, club pressure that TSVI has made his firmly his own.

20 year old Sheffield based producer Jack Chapman AKA Lloyd SB spans multiple genres, moods and BPMs on 'Boida Flare', his debut EP via London collective Nervous Horizon.
"The release contains tracks I made within the last couple of months to almost two years ago. It feels good to see these tracks side by side on the same release as you can see how I’ve developed my sound over time and experimented with different tempos. I came up with the name for 'Boida Flare' after watching a Boi-1da interview on YouTube where he spoke about artists having their own individual flair. It’s more of a name I gave for the palette of sounds I’ve made, similar to a collective noun. But then I adapted the spelling to link in the Wiley vocals before the drop ‘I light up the dance’…‘I told you before I’m a top boy’."
After early support from Murlo, Slackk, Scratcha DVA and Plastician, his first track 'X-Out' was released on the very respected Boxed001 compilation. He joins the Nervous Horizon crew after signing '3 x 23' to their Vol 1 compilation last summer. He recently played the Nervous Horizon Boiler Room session curated by Sound Pellegrino's Teki Latex, another big supporter of his music.
With the title track seeing early support by Kode 9 on BBC Radio 1, the EP features a multitude of productions with influences ranging from grime to techno, a collaboration with Wallwork, 'The Portal', and a percussive remix of 'Pirate Bay' by TSVI.
As FACT Magazine called for when they named him in their 10 Grime Producers to Watch in 2016 - "Surely now’s the time for a full EP?"

Lokane has confirmed himself as a crucial player in the London bass scene in 2015, having already played at Scratcha DVA’s “ALLYALLRECORDS” Boiler Room amongst veterans Mickey Pearce and Addison Groove, before even dropping his first record.
Now, after having released his debut EP on Infinite Machine last year, Lokane, aka Loz Caulton, has his next one soon to drop. ‘Visions EP’ is set to drop on vinyl and digital early in March on his affiliated label, Nervous Horizons as well as a remix of Scratcha DVA and Addison groove’s ‘Allyallrecords’ being released on Hyperdub in March.
Lokane first caught attention when key producers and radio dj’s began bringing his tracks to light across London clubs and radio stations. Plastician, SBTRKT and Scratcha DVA were amongst the first to help build Lokane’s reputation within the scene. Having aired guest mixes on Rinse FM for Plastician and Roska, Caulton has since shown us exactly what he’s about in his outstanding ID Magazine mix, later followed by his high energy ‘On Deck’ mix for Vice’s, THUMP.
Having progressed a long way from his previous low end, 140 inspired productions, Lokane has since transformed into the electric, Club based artist that we know him as today. With his unique style deriving from a diverse background of genres, you can be sure to expect an explosive merge of Club-inspired, future 808 sounds in his latest work and sets.

After his impeccable debut release Malfunction EP, Tsvi finally comes back with an incredible new piece of work: Set You Free EP
Tsvi opens a darker chapter in his artistic journey temporarily running away from the 80s synth flavors. For his first vinyl release he wants to make sure this becomes an instant warehouse classic, Nervous Horizon is all about the impact on the dancefloors.
He has definitely delivered what we were expecting, the opening track Set You Free is a masterpiece. In this track the artist certainly shows his deep connection with Detroit and Berlin modular techno. The use of silence is definitely a touch of genius, Tsvi only uses the amount techno he wants, we are not in Berlin, this is being chopped in Hackney!
Headshot brings us straight back to E3 (East London postcode).
Pounding grime pulse track with yet again with a techno twist that isn’t shy to show it-self.
Black Dog is a dance floor killer, very high on adrenaline it's an amazing weapon to drop mid set and stun even the most hardcore ravers.
In Mass Production Tsvi uses the amon break for the first time and the result is an explosive hardcore-rave warehouse track with a timeless touch.
(This is the bonus track of the 12" and is a vinyl exclusive)
The remixes in this EP are also insane.
Lokane adds and extra layer of grime to Headshot with dark arpeggiated vst leads and by giving the drop an even more gully impact.
Luru goes in on the Headshot remix delivering one of his best productions so far. By reworking the drums the track takes a whole new spin.
Luru's flip will get you jumping for sure!
Yeah is the fun dj tool of the EP. After it's techno intro, Yeah drops into a bright flangered bouncing bass that takes you by surprise.
Overall this EP show's that Tsvi has matured as a producer taking his sound to a new standard that sets him apart from the rest of the scene and is without a doubt one of the major players to look out for in 2016 alongside Wallwork, Lokane and all the rest of the Nervous Horizon squad.
