Shiken Hanzo is an artist not easily forgotten. His sound splices the fractious traditions of jungle with more ambient touches and this hybridisation has us incredibly excited to bring you his first full length album - ‘Fate Worlds’. In doing so, his boundless creativity is brandished through complete artistic freedom. The result is a special blend of foreboding atmospherics and tightly-bound percussive force, an odyssey of an album which takes influences from across the jungle spectrum and twists them into a unique musical journey. Hanzo's record on label's like Samurai Music and Cylon Recordings is clearly audible, a palpable legacy that has given breadth to his current creative purpose: to make ever-evolving music with no respect for conventions or boundaries.
A thirteen-track mastery straight from the underground, ‘Fate Worlds’ constructs a complex cinematic universe - sonically rich and texturally sophisticated. Iconic tracks, such as 'Book of Soyga', are emblematic of this approach; an eerie, kick-heavy track named after an Elizabethan treatise on magic - an arcane, paranormal backdrop juxtaposed with futuristic vocal leads and technoid bassline murmurs. At the other end of the spectrum is 'Taoist Elements', a rhythmic sledgehammer built upon the shifting sands of breakbeat hypnotism and one which brings a laser-like focus on dancefloor momentum. This confidence to adapt and infuse is eminent through-out the album and results in a raw and unforgiving display of boisterous ingenuity.
A truly sensational start to 2021, ‘Fate Worlds’ demonstrates Hanzo's eclectic range and superb talent, as well as Inperspective’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of jungle - this is undeniably a great stride forward in that journey.
Release Date: 3rd July 2020Italian DJ and producer Lynch Kingsley returns to Inperspective Records with new album Death Cycles, out 5th June.
An eleven-track release, Death Cycles is a slow-burning journey that sees Kingsley craft rich, atmospheric soundscapes informed by his D&B background. The first half of the record is characterised by downbeat, ambient breakbeat exploration, with tracks like ‘Rites of Passage’ and ‘Distance Between Soundwaves’ expertly setting the scene. In the second half, both the tempo and intensity rise gradually, most notably with the pounding, rapid-fire breaks of ‘Acid Dream’, before things are closed out with the sophisticated liquid D&B sounds of ‘Reach Through Meditation Pt. 2’.
Hailing from Rome, Kingsley has built a reputation around his complex, cerebral brand of electronic music, which is equal parts emotional, raw and intimate. Making his debut on Beat Machine in 2014, he has since released a brace of records on Inperspective, ‘Eden’ in 2016 and a Void’ in 2018. Closely associated with the ‘Dreamers’ crew in Milan, alongside the likes of Neve, he established himself as a frontrunner in the underground italian breakbeat circuit.
An expansive, complex collection of tracks, Death Cycles sees Lynch Kingsley kick off the new decade in scintillating form.

The Inperspective Records founder finally commits an EP to his beloved label after his debut track "Wednesday Evening" appeared 15 years ago. He dedicated his time to promoting and pushing the label, but a slew of releases on Fresh Trip, Immerse, Modern Urban Jazz, Cylon Recordings, Renegade, Exit Records and the recent upload of previously unreleased stuff on Spotify finally ignited his desire to get new music out again.
a1. Chris Inperspective - Dragons In the World
a2. Chris Inperspective - Clock Tower
b1. Chris Inperspective - Amber's Bush
b2. Chris Inperspective feat. Will Miles - You Understand
Will Miles, Virginia Born Junglist badman, finally joins the Inperspective family with 4 glorious cuts of hardstep futurism.
Music that captures the old school sensibilities while still maintaining the forward thinking ethos that has become the Inperspective staple.
Title track Choose Wisely brings a side to repertoire that isn't often seen. Stomping Amen of the highest order. Does the damage that needs to be done.
Medicine brings the pain is a starkly different way, steppy hard break with a morphing darkside bassline is the order of the day on this one, encapsulated with the sinister atmosphere.
Bringing in the element of diversity of the EP we have Pulsation, a quirky, Dubby Footwork/Jungle hybrid. Has been shocking audiences all over with it's skippy progressive style.
Finally, Want Not, brings the beauty. Hardstep Liquid vibes are what makes this tune fairly unique in the Inperspective catalogue, but don't let the haunting piano and chilling vocals confuse you. The bassline in this one comes from the depths of Hades!
We are very proud and honoured to present our next release from one of the scene's most respected artists. Seba blesses Inperspective Records with 2 slices from his diverse repertoire and they do not disappoint.
'No One Dies' harks back to an earlier time in Seba's catalogue. A simple, effective amen rinse out with atmospherics that lend themselves to a dystopian sci-fi epic is truly sublime and has been smashing down dances across the planet.
'Island Dub', the more subtle of the 2 tracks is blissed out lo fi underground jungle of the highest order and something of a departure for both artist and label, however still maintaining the integral ethos of Inperspective Records.
Available in stores on 7th September in 12" Vinyl and Digital formats.
Three years since Profane's seminal album 'V.illan Mills' was recorded for Inperspective and it's long overdue that he returns to the label. This canadian native's unique style that somehow fuses the hip hop sensibilities of J.Dilla, the jazz/funk ideologies of Danny Breaks and the experimental truth of Squarepusher has been a breath of fresh air in recent years on the Underground D&B scene and these two new cuts from him are no exception. The experimentally epic breakbeat off tempo monstrosity of 'Drughmada' is a heady, giddy tapestry of beats and breaks with a sleazy sample and panic led overtones. 'West Newton Views' is a darker more minimal affair. A clunky, dubstep vibe which maintains moody intensity throughout. Tense and suspenseful.
The other side sees the triumphant return of Rome's Lynch Kingsley. This young, precocious talent has been a good friend to the label for a number of years and after making waves with his debut 'Eden EP' it was only a matter of time before his return. We are pleased to present 'Void', a dark journey through the breakbeat, sci-fi escapism of early 90's D&B which in time develops into a deep, break laden workout with gorgeous synths and fantasy atmospheres. A joy to behold.
Andy Skopes debuts on Inperspective with 2 absolutely storming amen laced tracks. We are so pleased to have finally finished our Teddy Bear Trilogy and these tunes continue in the same strong, progressive vein of the first two from Infamy and Earl Grey.
Who are you is a slick amen roller with intense atmospheres, tight chopped drums and a thunderous bassline. Certainly a track to get the floor moving!
Laterality has a more mystical, distant, sci-fi feel to it, with an epic breakdown into a minimal section that is truly outstanding. Monstrous filtered amens complete the onslaught. Not for the feint of heart.
Manchester native Earl Grey makes his debut appearance with this double A side on Inperspective Records Dark, brooding and complex, Karmic Sprain is an eery and crisp network of free beats and cognitive chords interspersed with otherworldly effects and samples. On the flip, Dorsiflexion with rolling drums, drifting synths and stuttering vibes, this track muses on climates of mystifying warmth and spectral clarity. This is the 2nd of the 'Teddy Bear' Picture Disc Series with Original photography and design by Simon Van Stipriaan. Earl Grey's debut release on Inperspective demonstrates his skillful musicianship, masterful breakbeat technicality and delicate production. With styles flipping between drum and bass and jazz, leaving an enticing atmosphere that is impossible to draw away from.
