Infernal Sounds welcomes Cluekid back to the fray, returning to release two of his most sought after dubs in 'Electric Avenue' & 'Horizontal'. The legendary producer throws you right back to the '08 days on the A side, taking you in with straight junglist sampling and a low-end wobble of a freshly set blamanche. 'Horizontal' displays the same sort of traits, but gives you an added dub-flex through the backdrop melody, and a low-end you'll feel right down in your stomach. It's an ultimate double XL.
Infernal Sounds show no sign of letting up during 2020 as they present their 5th release of the year, this time with a debutant to the label, SWR. The relatively unknown artist (formerly known as Widowmaker) has been making fluctuations since arriving on the scene - his release with Cocobolo Sound receiving high plaudits as he created two tracks which perfectly paid homage to the original '06 sound. As for his Square Soulja EP for IFS022, he's plated up four cuts that showcase his vast variety in skill and sound, taking influence from grime and lacing a future sound within his productions. Whether you prefer the more surreal sounds of 'Vertigo', the downplayed filth on 'Isshin's Theme', or the more in your face skankers in both 'Square Soulja' and Cypher Zero', this is a 12" you'll want to be packing.
Having already received heavy support from the likes of Truth, N-Type, and many other reputable artists in the scene, this is an insta-bag.
One of the hottest upcoming artists in the 140 spectrum, Fiend debuts on Infernal Sounds with the beautifully mesmerising Emeralds EP. The Bristol-based producer has previously released on the likes of J. Sparrow's Navy Cut and most recently on Chord Marauders, displaying his versatility and ease to produce tracks of various styles and soundscapes. This release is no different, acutely bending between the lighter textures with 'Emeralds', to the more heavy and soundsystem kicking 'Solar', whilst finding the perfect balance of light and dark in the B2 track, 'Omen'. To top it all off, Infernal Sounds have called on their cavalry and one of their elite in dub-master Bukkha has given the title track, 'Emeralds' his own spin to add another tier of depth to this already, magical EP. The aesthetic of the release is once again polished to perfection, with Emily Dayson Illustration returning to give the plate an extra special touch on the artwork centre labels.
Over the past year, the release has received heavy support from the likes of Truth, J:Kenzo, Sicaria Sound, Taiko and Quasar, among many others. It's one to add to your collection, so you can blast it at home, take it for a spin on the dance floor or even frame on your wall - a really special release from top to bottom, inside and out.
Infernal Sounds welcome back Taiko to the fold as they celebrate their 20th release on the label with a stinking 3-track EP from the Sheffield-based producer. Having previously featured on IFS009 with Darkimh on the track 'Unwarp', it's time for him to take centre stage and unleash this all-rounded release, showcasing exactly why he's one of the most sought after producers under the 140 spectrum. The 'Giant Big Man' EP delivers all of the known traits from Taiko's productions - a dynamic percussion, intricate use of vocal snips, laced with grimey undertones. The EP is pressed on 180g vinyl, and finished with a full sleeve design from returning illustrator, Emily Dayson.
Having received major support from the likes of Sicaria Sound, N-Type and Truth, amongst many other top drawer DJ's, this is a must-own piece of art to add to your collection.
Infernal Sounds welcome the return of the illusive Irish producer Darkimh, plating up the scorching 'Tell Me Nothin' EP' as the follow up to his #IFS009 release which hit shelves in 2018. The title track features Manchester MC T-Man (one part of Levelz), a collaboration in the works for some time, providing the ultimate weight deliverance to the dance floor, igniting rigorous energy as soon as the tune drops. Darkimh backs this stand out piece with two different flips - a more trapped out track in 'Gin Swing' and the surreal and spacious number, 'Boneclick'. All tracks are perfect for different vibes and different situations, whether it's at home on your own, out at a house party or ready to lay siege on the dance floor. The release features a full sleeve artwork piece - designed and photographed by Gabrial Deacon.
Having received major support from the likes of Commodo, Sicaria Sound, N-Type and Truth, amongst many other top drawer DJ's, this is a must-own piece of black crack - pressed on 180g vinyl.
DPRTNDRP make their debut on Infernal Sounds as they dish up their 'What Ya Mean' EP - supplying an adapt range of sounds and styles throughout this 4-tracker, which also features a collaboration with DE-TÜ.
Showcasing the skills inside the Italian collectives repertoire, the A-side tunes 'What Ya Mean' and 'Faya Blazin' provide the twisted, out-there perspective and gives homage to the new-breed 140 sound. Whereas the B-Side material drives closer to old-school, hitting the weight on full throttle, instilling heavy wobs to the mainframe of the beats. Both 'Ambush' and 'Trasher' are stinkers. The release has received heavy support from the likes of J:Kenzo, Distinct Motive, BunZer0 amongst many other top drawer DJ's around the globe. If you want something to invigorate the energy levels on the dance floor, look no further.
No.17 marks the return of Sepia to Infernal Sounds as he pops the lid open on some long-lasting dubs from his locker. The title track, 'Flutez' is an uplifting journey, and has been in constant rotation across the dance floor for over 3 years now, having received support from the likes of Truth, Foamplate and Sicaria Sound.
The B1 'Cross The Line', a more recent creation from the Bristol-based producer switches it up and delivers a more direct, cut-throat aggression through the chopping synth, conjuring up a sense of anguish, with the appropriate addition of a daunting vocal sample. Stripping things back and rounding things off is 'Tales From The Crypt', a perfect way to bring things down and lay out that trademark Sepia sound. Emotive notes and progression gives this track a real all-round feel of solace.
The EP has also received support from Mala, Distance and Darkside, amongst others.
The 14th release on the IFS imprint is a really special one, from a legend in the 140 scene, Cluekid. He makes his return to 12", after a very successful release with Canadian imprint Vinyl Vigilance, and dishes up two lost dubplates which have been needing the plate treatment for years. Having already received heavy support from the likes of J:Kenzo, V.I.V.E.K, Darkside and Distance, this release is a must have. Particularly with the added addition of the full sleeve artwork, designed by Emily Dayson Illustration.
The next IFSXXX white label, vinyl-only is here. For the second instalment, Infernal Sounds welcome Bristol based duo, DE-TÜ to the platter and dish up a weighty two-tracker ready to rattle the rib-cages far and wide. The duo have been making seismic waves the past couple years, having already released on IFS' main catalogue, alongside a killer EP on White Peach, it's only fitting they deliver yet another top drawer EP for this series.

Having already enjoyed a successful run of releases during 2018, he steps up with a variety of tracks showcasing the hidden depths to his productions, bridging the gap between dubstep and grime, eloquently.
There's plenty of different flavours across all three tracks which have been providing damage to many clubs across the world over the past few months, and arrives to you on a heavy-weight 180g plate.
Infernal Sounds embraces two new artists with the 12th release to date on the label. This time, it's the combined energy and musical flow of Bukkha and Subtle Mind, featuring guest vocals from Bristol's Dutchie, alongside a sax cut of the title track. Having already branched across numerous different styles during the label's journey thus far, this EP signifies the more vibey sound, with dub-orientated elements and instrumental input. This EP may not be a dance floor destroyer, but will certainly put you in a rhythmic, feel good mind frame, through the three beautifully composed tracks.
Infernal Sounds welcomes their newest member to the imprint, Dark Tantrums. After a brief hiatus from releasing music, the producer who's had previous EP's out on both Deep Medi and GetDarker is back with a bang. From the millitant march of 'Command', to the distorted and twisted mind of 'Darkside', with 'Time Warp' rounding things off in a typical old-school fashion, this EP will knock your socks off and deliver a punch for the dance floor. IFS011 not only displays his ability to adapt his style under the 140 spectrum, but continues to prove why he's one of the most underrated artists to grace the scene.
Infernal Sounds reaches a milestone by welcoming one of their previous family members, Sepia back onto 12”. As the first in a new series, IFSXXX001 presents tracks from one of the most interesting newcomers of late, Sir Hiss. This series is a white label, vinyl-only release.
The 8th instalment on Infernal Sounds comes from the mind of Bristol based, DE-TÜ. Intricate sound design and dubwise pressure reigns supreme throughout this three track EP, all armed and ready to annihilate any dance floor.
Claiming a highly original sound that boasts strong roots in dubstep’s rich history, Causa’s musical output delivers a fresh perspective on sound system music that holds true to tradition yet strives for innovation; a recipe that with undoubtedly help dictate the unwritten narrative of the genre’s future. With productions having already graced global dubstep labels such as Surfase Records, Circle Vision, FatKidOnFire, Artikal Music and Infernal Sounds, this German badman continues to prove himself as a force to be reckoned with amongst the underground circuit. On top of his impressively nuanced and steady growing catalogue, Causa’s productions have also received play support from prominent scene heavy hitters, with multiple tracks featured on J:Kenzo’s Rinse FM guest mixes as well as on Vivek’s Rinse FM mix and Mesck’s Chestcast mix.
Causa makes a bold introduction to Sleeper’s highly prolific Crucial Recordings label with his new, three-track EP entitled Juce (CRUCIAL013); the latest addition to the imprint’s standard-setting and ever-expanding vision for pushing multifaceted bass music. Laden with laid back, minimalist vibes and understated swag dictated by massive bassweight pressure and infectious percussive patterns, Causa’s release delivers the earthy meditation of dubstep’s powerful roots while keeping the energy dark, moody and forward-facing. Each of Juce’s three tracks: “Minerals,” “Struggle” and “Juce” work together beautifully to orchestrate the creeping and commanding story of Causa’s Crucial EP; a story that sheds light onto the darker shades of dubstep production while simultaneously celebrating the significance of the genre’s foundation.
The eternal sunshine of Infernal Sounds returns for their seventh installment of vinyl releases - yet another high-pressure 12" curated by the fierce UK-based imprint. Seeking to maintain their hefty presence, Infernal Sounds invites a revered bass music producer out of San Francisco by the name of Saule - joined by a mean-spirited remix from Chestplate's Mesck. FatKidOnFire, one of UK's most regarded publications, states: "One of the hottest Dubstep records of 2017".
Infernal Sounds are back with their 6th release on the label, this time with the combined minds and talent of Japanese based artists, Karnage and the infamous Rider Shafique on vocals. The A side, ‘Realise’ providers a weighty influx, featuring the elemental voice of Rider, backed by a rugged roller in the form of ‘Bayside Shakedown’ on the B side.
Infernal Sounds is discharging its fifth hefty, system-affine release, adding another highly regarded talent to their roster. Having featured revered producers like Von D, Sepia, Causa, Shu & Perverse, the label has clearly positioned itself in the front row seat of the modern dubstep movement. Representing a combination of upholding the values of system music with a 21st-century take on sound - the next release, catalogued as ‘IFS005’ is stylistically congruent and adds to the discography in total.
It is now time for highly talented Sub Basics (Tom Woods) to augment the imprint’s discography with his ridiculously massive incarnation of bass music. His debut vinyl release on the Canadian imprint ‘Visceral Vibrations’ in 2015 has garnered ample amounts of positive reception by esteemed figures in the scene like Versa, Syte and J:Kenzo. After an equally praised 10” dubplate release (“Give Dem”) in 2016, we now find ourselves in the silence before the thunderstorm, that is this very record. His upcoming release includes three tracks, two of which will feature on vinyl (A. Horus/ B. Cartel), while the third ‘Northern Lights’ will be a Bandcamp-exclusive.
Diving into the sound at hand, his arrangements are closely aligned and firmly true to the origins of Dubstep - conjugated with extreme clarity, as well as preposterous amounts of weight and gravitas. The impeccable execution of his minimalistic sound design will leave this release rumbling on soundsystems around the globe – and will most stay a fan’s favourite draw from the record bag for a good while.
Perfectly displaying a refined sense of dynamics with ‘Horus’, Sub Basics effortlessly squeezes every available ounce of air out of the system, while preserving an immense sense of space. The highly infatuating groove of ‘Cartel’ is mingled with a sweltering foundation - tied together through his meticulous attention to detail. As etheral pads complement the gnarly drum reverberations and bird’s cries recoil - the listener is left in a surreal world of the ‘Northern Lights’ - apprehended by the sonorous magnitude of the bassline. Completed by creamy atmospheres with tape-echo-esque characteristics, this whole release is sure to tick all your boxes from top to bottom - IFS005 has already received support from J:Kenzo & Foamplate among others, therefore the pre-order is strongly advised.
In the wake of the hugely successful IFS002 from Sepia earlier this year, rising deep dubstep label Infernal Sounds returns with a release from Illusive German heavyweights Shu and Causa, who bring their nuanced, earthy meditation on Dubstep to IFS003. Both sides of IFS003, from collaborative A side Dubhelmet, to B-sides Dawn Chorus and System One, are filled to the brim with minimal, sound system vibes and analogue sound design.
Moving on from the debut release on the label from Perverse, Bristol based Sepia brings his eclectic but richly produced minimalism to IFS002, a collection of contemplative, abstracted dubstep from the Bristol based producer. Having had his music supported by numerous figurehead artists around the globe, alongside releasing on labels such as Mindstep, Indigo Movement and the latest, on Joe Nice’s Gourmet Beats, Sepia makes his subsequent physical release on Infernal Sounds.
Title track Laid To Rest lays down a minimal, slow building introduction, fat, sound design within an ambient framework, jazzy guitar samples rest nicely along subtle stab of sub bass. The minimal sound design and slowly reverberating bassline, mixed in with fat, monolithic stabs and static atmospheric pads perfectly lays down the comedowny tone of IFS002.
Remember is the most conventional of the three tracks on the release, building on the chilling vibes with a mid-paced slab of healthy, upbeat zootskank, with almost tribalistic drum patterns rattling alongside a hooky, echo-ing mid paced LFO bassline, evoking an almost psychedelic vibe, laid back but perfectly movable, designed for front row madness.
Closing track Separation winds things down with it’s ambient, glitchy waves of reverberating subs into the mix, driven by shining ambient bass and synths and drifting alongside an abstrused drumbeat, communicating a contemplative, end of the night vibe, one to be pumped gently through the headphones to battle that post rave sadness.
Sepia continues in the tradition of many artists in 2016 and pushes the boundaries, not once breaking into worship or revival. He brings his trademark dreamy sound design, nestled within conventional Dubstep structure in an atmospheric context, laying down a varied, atypical sounding release, rewarding those extra spins on the table with beautifully mastered depth and listenability.
After much anticipation Infernal Sounds finally bring their first musical offering to the table with a 2 tune vinyl and 3 tune digital release from the one and only Perverse. They're a fitting duo to honour the introductory release on the label, branching out from an already highly successful life on Youtube. With merch and even more news on the way, it's fitting this release sees the light of day now with a release just into the new year planned, so get saving those pennies.
Side A 'IO' starts with an airy intro with light highs and snares dancing around an atmospheric flutter. It builds brilliantly to a rigorous roller, with surging bass lines and a continued medley of interestingly arranged drums. With complex joints between growling notes, this tune does not disappoint and gets the release off to a fantastic start. On side B 'Aye Aye', a weightier track with a slightly more stomping element against the first tune's rolling atmosphere. The highs in this tune are perfection, dancing around the bass lines creating a really tangled but organised collection of sounds around a rigid bass line. The minimalistic notes in the later bars only add to the rising vibes of this tune, concluding the tunes included on the vinyl.
