We are proud to welcome Felipe Gordon on this second episode of the Groovin Unreleased Series! 'Bringing The Old School Back EP' is a tribute to classic house.
With jazz instrumentation, and elements that resemble the musical group format (solos, phrases with responses, etc), Felipe Gordon conceived this release with the idea of being at the height of Groovin reissues, that goes from genre architects like Blaze, or Chicago pillars like Glenn Underground. Drums and rhythmical phrases maintain dancing intention, while Jazz vibes play on top, the combination of elements that revealed in a certain era the musical potential of house, now created through the lens of a new generation prodigious producer.

Groovin Recordings is proud to repress one of the best production from the super-talented singer, producer and composer from Chicago, Peven Everett. Originally out in 2007, “Put Your Back Into It” it's definitely one of the song that better shows Peven's skills. And if it's not enough, you have a Quentin Harris remix on the b-side.
"Push The Feeling On", definitely a record that needs no introduction. One of the best dance songs of the 90's, still hot on the dancefloor after 30 years from its original release!
2021 Official reissue, remastered from the original tapes.
"Burning Hot" is one of the hottest tunes from Peven's discography, and one of the biggest anthems on the NY dancefloor since the Summer of 2010. On the B-side "Burning Groove", an unreleased demo taken from the original song recording.
Doug Smith and Richard Payton, aka 95 North, are a house music production duo from Washington DC very well known from all the 90's house music lovers.
Their 90's discography is full of hits, including collaborations with Crystal Waters and Sabrynaah Pope, and many releases with labels like Strictly Rhythm, King Street, Slip 'n' Slide and Kult Records.
“Let Yourself Go” was originally released in 1995, probably one of the best times of their activity in the house music scene.
