"I have wanted to put this release out since I first heard v1 of WITT. Hunter Reed from the moment he joined the EA fold has gone from new artist to essential part of the EA cohort. Praise be Hunter Reed."
After the initial release of ENV012 Kloudmen started sending music that was a level beyond what we had previously heard from the duo. Remixes of and Plays by major scene players such as Caspa and Hatcha as well as the fresh blood in the forms of Bukez, Samba, Sepia etc.
Then out of nowhere in a fashion that caught our ears Kloudmen x Rez. We had to know more! The result was this release.
Manta, this release made itself. Crow sample, swampier than the everglades and swing!
Manta is a man crafting some of the most off kilter sounds we have heard and these tracks go a touch of the way to show the mans class! Control of the uncontrolled.
For the label to finally reach its 20th catalogue number is a seminal moment. To reach it with the original logo designer for Encrypted Audio and all round top gent is an even greater honour.
Mesck has a slew of releases on friends and family labels such as Chestplate & Crucial Recordings but with this release we wanted to create the feeling that no side was an A. Knowing Zach's style he did not let us down.
As we are referring to this release The Double Header..... 'Locust March' testament to the commanding way Mesck uses percussion and synth tones in a controlled fashion to create anticipation in the way they are used. In a track dominated and driven by a raw sub and mid punch combination that Mesck knows all so well. Joined by the equally amazing 'Fugazi'... There is no other way to describe this piece of art than EPIC.
Dalek One needs zero introduction to the trained EA ear having branded his sound into the foundations with not 1 but 2 digital releases! Since then Dalek One has gone on to gain support and releases from a plato of scene staples such as Truth, Caspa and Hatcha. His tracks have seen plays from a multitude of scene name brands.
Argo needs zero introduction to the tuned in listener of the Dubstep Genre. This release alone has seen support and heavy rotation from Youngsta, Distance, J:Kenzo, Ntype, Bukez Finezt, Samba etc etc etc. The list is endless, over the past 12 months it would be easier to list those who have not supported this release.
Not only has Argo been gaining support with this release from the Dubstep Elite, Grime champions such as Spooky have clocked onto the sound and are showing Argo's style to the Grime masses.
One of the later arrivals to the EA family, Koma landed on label, dropped a digital and then began crafting this monumental release... Alongside this he has worked with other scene favourites and more noticeably works and performs as 1/5th of Chonk Mob.
This release from KOMA see's 4 tracks take up worthwhile space on the 12" format.
The 9th piece to the ever growing Vinyl puzzle comes from Encrypted Audio's own Trisicloplox (Killian) residing in the US heartland for Bass music Denver / Colorado.
Not the only Denver'ite on the EA roster you will be hearing from I assure you. Killian's love for distortion and forward thinking wave forms takes the listener into an emotive bass and kick driven frenzy across all his tracks. Cafe Blank in a monster with a driving kick pattern and distorted topline to carry off any rave. Estranged leaves you in a field a bass frequencies hard to match. Iaido is seeing a lot of support from the likes of GothTrad and recently even the likes of The Bug have found their ears gravitated towards Trisco.
