No messing around with this one folks. I guess I must have been feeling some pent up intense emotions from the lock down because when I went to write this EP four steam rollers came flying out of me. These tracks are definitely up there with some of the peakiest peak timers I’ve written so strap on your seat belt and get ready for the turbo thrusters to kick in.

OK enough of my blather. Go and listen to the damn things yourself and decide if you like them, rather than trying to work it out from reading a bloody press release you weirdos.

All four tracks are produced and sculpted for the club. They want big sound systems and dark rooms.

Lightweights. This tune is not for you. This one is for those who can go hard. And go long. Otherwise you might not know what's hit you. An early 2000's anthem, the original version of Lightweight was a Total Science classic. Laced with TS trademarks, the track was a staple in every DJs set, rinsed in the clubs.

And now, it's been updated by the one and only Break. If you want to take an already big tune, and raise it to even another level, he's the man to go to; he's got form. And he's done it in style. Sticking faithfully to the original vibe, he brings this banger firmly into 2020, maintaining all the key elements and sonically updating it for the 21st century, but still keeping a class and subtlety to the proceedings. Hoovers, stabs, breaks and bass. It's all there. Hold tight for the four-four section in the breakdown though, you're not ready.

And to keep the vibe of the former CIA LTD releases from former years, the flip sees another remix paired alongside; coming from the newest wing of the Bristol Drum & Bass mafia, the Ill Truth boys are brought in to update a more modern-day CIA classic, Phaction and Leo Wood’s ‘I Have You’. Once again they show a maturity and class that belies their youthful and hairless visages, bringing the weight and the funk that Total Science always require.

Released digitally last year, the idea for Skin Teeth's debut release Nebulous was the culmination of years of raving and listening to tapes from that golden era in UK Rave - early nineties.

Taking its name from the breakbeat sampled in Nebula II's Anathema, it conjures up images of smokey Record shops, Bootlegged tape cassettes, Bomber Jackets, and beaten up Flyer collections for events such as Fantazia, Dreamscape and Pandemonium.
Sounding like something that could well have been hammered by DJs like Ellis Dee, Ratty, and Mickey Finn in Raves formative years, it went some way in defining Skin Teeth's Old Skool influenced style.

Not content with his own rendering, it was a no brainer to approach the mighty LMajor to see if he would like to remix the track. Not only did he oblige but pulling from his own passion for underground rave music and knowledge of all things Jungle LMajor completely flipped the original on its head and turned it into something a bit special. A worthy reimagining and 140 Junglism at it's finest.

Berlin's Cinthie has grown to become one of the most revered and respected figures in contemporary electronic music in recent years both in her hometown and across the globe. Her touring schedule regularly sees her playing her inimitable DJ style in hotspot cities like Paris, London, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Stockholm, Seoul, Osaka, and of course her beloved hometown Berlin where she was born and raised on the ever flowing current of electronic music coming from the city. Djing in said city since the early nineties as a teenager Cinthie's depth of knowledge radiantly shines through in her sets and her productions, which traverse through a broad range of classic and contemporary House and Techno sounds. Recent times have seen Cinthie look inwards towards her aspirations for the future, and as a result, dedicated a huge portion of her time to building her own studio, featuring a wide spectrum of some of the most noteworthy vintage drum machines and synthesizers in existence. Along with Diego Krause, Ed Herbst and stevn.aint.leavn, Cinthie represents the Beste Modus / Beste Freunde collective, amongst running Unison Wax and We_R House on top of the main labels and most recently launching her 803 Crystalgrooves imprint to critical acclaim, a platform which will become a huge focus for her own productions for the foreseeable future. On top of this there’s a burgeoning relationship with Will Saul's Aus imprint bubbling away with her debut for the label dropping in November 2018. Cinthie has also recently shifted focus towards Elevate Berlin, a label collective, digital and physical record store in the heart of Friedrichshain, a home for all of the label collectives output as well as releases from friends and affiliates.

Break flips the script with “Whispers In My Ear” stripping back to a more minimal sound with wolf-like basses and meaty subs. Keeping MC GQ’s weighty vocals as the key feature was important and his middle 16 hits close and personal direct to your ear.

Break & Total Science’s “Dog’s Dinner” was already a heavy club tune, but the master of power Mefjus has taken it up to a new level. Reworking all the elements of the track with his trademark production results in a monster version that always delivers.
