Released 21st October 2016
Swindle's second in a trilogy of EP for Butterz this year leans on his Grime roots, featuring veteran MCs D Double E and Ghetts. 'Lemon Trees' featuring D Double E sees them venture to LA, on a G Funk tip, and 'Works Haffi Run' featuring Ghetts has him going in a rare gritty direction. The EP is accompanied by a remix from girl of the moment Flava D for the biggest track from his album last year 'Peace, Love & Music'. The 'Mad Ting' Remix featured on her recent fabriclive mix, and has been going down in the clubs ever since.

Swindle is a multi instrumentalist, producer and DJ from London. He has self released his music as far back as 2006, and featured in many projects between then and his debut album that came via Mala’s Deep Medi in 2013. ‘Long Live The Jazz’ established Swindle on the global circuit as a DJ and Live Act. The follow up 'Peace Love & Music' in 2015 documented his global travel from London to LA, Cape Town to Tokyo and Shanghai to Glasgow. Featuring TC, Flowdan, Terri Walker and more, it landed with rave reviews, and the breakout track 'Mad Ting' feat JME became his most successful song to date. The spirit of this continues with Swindle's next project 'A Trilogy In Funk'. Three EPs, showing three sides to his tastes and talents. Part One is three tracks recorded while in Sao Paolo, Brazil with local musicians while on tour in September. Part Two is inspired by his roots in the London Grime scene, collaborating with veteran MCs D Double E and Ghetts. Part Three is something that his followers have long waited for, a straight up P-Funk project, recorded in LA. Across the three projects, they encompass styles that you normally couldn't pin to one artist, but Swindle's unmistakable energy powers through all of them. As always, he backs his musical depth with strong visuals, documenting the process of how these records came together, giving an insight into his process from the studio to the release. 2016 has seen him continue touring his live band across festivals like Glastonbury, Love Supreme, Boomtown and Shambala, while DJing alongside his Butterz.

LIMITED REPRESS WITH NEW ARTWORK. Released 23rd February 2015
First brought to light by the SB.TV F64 freestyles the ubiquitous 'Wooo Riddim' was arguably one of the most exposed grime tracks of the past year and now see its vinyl release as the second release on the Butterz white label series. The track has already been vocalled by D Double E, Footsie, P. Money, Chipmunk, JME and Jammer and has continued to stir up debate as to who has the best version.
The tracks popularity has exceeded the 18-year old producer, S-X's, expectations by a long mile. Taking its influence from dirty-south hip-hop, 'Wooo Riddim' leans on on a stern 808 drum-roll and is accompanied by somewhat hypnotic synth-lines that compliment the laid back feeling of the track. Local Actions DJ Q is on remix duty on the B-side and delivers a somewhat dramatic interpretation with some woozy synths and manages to maintain the energy of the original and adding a bit of extra sub-bass to finish it off.
Mainly known for his exploits in the UK Bassline scene DJ Q shows his versatility here by working with a grime track so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for more of his productions on the weekly Rinse FM Butterz radio show.
