Bondage Music welcome back Mihai Popoviciu to present his new “Azul” EP. comprising four original compositions from the Romanian artist, inc. 2 vinyl only tracks.
Always associated with quality underground vibes, the ever-impressive Bondage-Music delivers more of the good stuff, from label favourite Frink.
The title track “Perseus” (with James Dexter) is a wonderful heads down groover, with its subtly dubby flavored groove, and plenty of swagger, this spacious groove merges yesteryear with a fresh essence effortlessly. “Fresco” is next up, and it feels like fresh air blowing gently across your face, as this bright and punchy workout unleashes its summer sounds, yet retaining a deep slant throughout.
We get serious a “Calama” goes deep, and locks you in to is mystic flavours, while a punchy and crisp set of beats encase the flavours. It’s time to loosen those hips for the closing track “Púrpura”, as we slinkily enjoy this housy smiley inducer, fusing deep vibes with a wonderful glow.
Label head honchos Pornbugs return with two slick new gems, backed by remixes from Mihai Popoviciu and Roger Gerressen. Kicking off with ‘Fiducia’ this low-slung grooved slab of deepness meanders effortlessly, as some dubby edged goodness unfurls. The pads adds an air of mystique, as the sophistication keeps oozing along. Stepping up on remix duties, the wonderful Mihai Popoviciu sprinkles has magical studio dust, creating a hypnotic and deep yet driving re-tweak. A tension creating dance floor moment, dark and deadly. ‘Unas Gotas’ keeps the quality set to maximum, as this deep and infectious groove is perfect for setting the vibe or creating a vibe. Moody and cool, and plenty of swagger. Roger Gerressen delivers a tasty Dub mix of ‘Unas Gitas’ to round off the package, some heads down action here, as the dubbed out flavours wash over this soundscape for the mind and the feet.
