One of Samurai Music’s most respected new artists - Torn crosses over from his Drum and Bass releases to Horo for the Forsaken EP - 4 tracks of experimental Techno that continue the progression of the Grey Area sound.
‘Forsaken’ takes it down low with searing distortion and serves as a perfect grinding intro, while ‘There Is No Way Back’ works an overdriven kick into a heaving floor dominator. ‘Ordeal For The Soul’ and ‘Sin’ both work polyrhythms into a deceptive tempo cocktail producing a hefty, hypnotic sway that is constructed to seduce dance-floors.

Vermisst is a new collaborative project from Sam KDC, Torn and Korse. Working together to expand on the Grey Area sound, the Zerfall (disintegration) EP takes a more aggressive approach than past releases from Grey Area developers ASC and Sam KDC.
From the lightning rod rave stabs of Zukunft and the rolling breakbeat textures of Zuruf, Vermisst work their polyrhythms into powerful propulsion. Zerfall and Zahnrad take a deeper approach with sheets of distortion splashed over the lurching rhythms.
More to come from Vermisst in 2020.

For their ninth record TRUSIK enlists the German producer bhed whose long form constructions blend ambient, dub, techno, and dubstep into forms that stretch each genre’s signifiers to their breaking points.
The monumental opener “eighteenhundred” melds sun-drenched synth work onto a meandering rhythm that gives way to a dub techno influenced beat that morphs into a jittering whirr of glitch-like percussive brushstrokes and serpentine sub weight.
Title track “apatheia” harkens back to ’08 Peverelist with a strident march and groovy Jamaican bass weight as the mixing board comes alive with fading guitar chops that encircle themselves like an ouroboros.
Lastly, “east” is a loose homage to Augustus Pablo’s mystical “East of the River Nile” with a cloudy fog of one-drop rim shots echoing into infinity and a steppa’s amble.
As with label mates Tremble and Zygos, Ben LaDieu is called upon once more to grace TRSK009 with his dense, hallucinogenic artwork that melds the mundane and surreal.

After a busy year putting on the hypest club nites and radio shows all across town, the Munich based club label Ruffhouse joins forces with the dynamic duo of Schlachthofbronx and their Rave & Romance imprint to bring you a long awaited 10“ record by Tymotica - a founding Member of Ruffhouse who now resides in Berlin.
The A-Side is home to “Galaxies Of Dust”, a 2-Step influenced club belter paired with the coldest basslines, synths and glitches you could imagine. The track is driven by a brooding bassline that feels too much like Jungle to not mention it (even though it's clocking in much slower) before diving deep into twisted submarine breaks, always staying true to the boundary- crossing Ruffhouse club music aesthetics.
On the flip side you can find a low-end heavy take on the original by Munich veterans Schlachthofbronx who adopt the tune into their hi-fueled bass universe and add layers of vocal chops and general carnival rave vibes. Originally released as a stricly limited CD-exclusive on the Rufftrax compilation this spring, the Schlachthofbronx remix quickly developed a life of its own and became one of the most sought after tracks of their international live sets - with the few circulating promos ending up getting cut on acetate by their vinyl-affine DJ-friends.
So better don't miss out on the opportunity to get your hands on these outstanding tracks on this proper run of nicely cut 10” vinyl that is RAR007/RUFFHOUSE002, made in collaboration from the two Munich based club music power houses Ruffhouse & Schlachthofbronx.
