Introduced by a mutual friend, A/T/O/S started creating music together. Their first creation, 'A Taste Of Struggle' was quickly picked up by dubstep pioneer Mala, who signed them to his label DEEP MEDi. Their debut release received an early spin by BBC 6 Music's Mary Anne Hobbs and impressive remixes by Skream and Commodo.
Their upcoming album 'waterman', is the 3rd on DEEP MEDi, following their self-titled debut 'A/T/O/S' and the follow-up 'Outboxed'.
'waterman' once again sees A/T/O/S exploring new territories with their formula of exciting beats and powerful vocals, accompanied by Michiel De Malsche on the keys as their 'secret, not so secret' member in the studio & on stage.
As we keep exploring the outer wilds of dubwise music, we're happy to welcome Jah Schulz with a very special release on the basscomesaveme label.
With more than a handful of releases on Railroad Records, the german dub producer already made himself a name in the soundsystem scene. Legends like Jah Shaka playing his tunes regulary on their sessions. His heavyweight basslines and powerful drums are shakin' up every dance.
For his release on BCSM, Jah Schulz is focusing on the drum and the bass and is creating a heavy bass experience called Dub Over Science. Deep atmospherics combined with lush soundscapes pushing forward to extract the essence of dub. The reduction to the basics of modern dubwise and keeping the traditional way of dub mixing, making these productions extra rough. Ultra low frequencies are shaping the sound of this release to give the listener a unique bass meditation.
This is forward thinking dub music on a remarkable level, which should be checked by every sound nerd and bass head.Dub Over Science showcasing six original productions by Jah Schulz, which been mastered by LXC at Alphacut to give the extra kind of pressure that will shake up any soundsystem.
The record is topped by a special artwork from the talented artist KiTZ. Dub Over Science is available on vinyl and digital and will be dropping soon on basscomesaveme.

This top skanking release from the Dub Conductor music label features two fantastic and legendary vocalists, Sandeeno and Johnny Clarke on the same riddim. Dub Conductor have had some fun in the production, processing both vocals to give a digital feel to the tracks. The end product is a bouncy vibe with some serious bass pressure and inspiring messages throughout. The A side, Sandeeno’s ‘Zion Train’, features a robotic and iconic spoken introduction inviting all ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’ to step on board the zion train or face the wrath of babylon, outlining the theme of the track. Johnny Clarke on the B Side has a much more relaxed message, perfectly suited for reggae skanking. The message is simple. DANCE!
This release from Dub Conductor features two epic steppers remixes of the original track ‘500 years’ by Manchester reggae band, Extra Love. For the A Side, DC have kept the full vocal from Kuntri Ranks, allowing his historic and powerful message to ring out fully throughout the track. this is accompanied by Extra Love’s iconic crispy horns section, which has been cut and spliced to perfection to bounce in and out of the wicked new dub style arrangement. On the B Side, Dub Conductor provide us with a different remix which takes a big leap away from the original roots reggae track, yet maintains the same positive vibe. The track is a serious uncompromisingly heavyweight steppers ridden, including a catchy repeated horns lick sampled from the original which provides the music with a meditative roots music feeling. Dub Conductor’s 500 Years release comes jam paced with energy, fortified with blazing horns, anthem vocals and as always, powerful bass and will surely set each and every reggae dance of fire!

The anthemic vocal is accompanied by a hard hitting melodic baseline and a crisp, punchy riddim created in the Dub Conductor Studios. The B-Side of this release features the energetic synth-based instrumental track, ‘Hunting Warrior’. The raw effects and tribal sounds take the listener deep into the echo chamber on a journey of pure musical upliftment.

Gaudi follows up his critically acclaimed album “100 Years of Theremin (The Dub Chapter)” with a cover of Lee Perry's classic 'Bird in Hand' production.
Recorded on the 'Happy Roots' riddim, 'Bird in Hand' was Sam Carty's take on Naushad Ali's Hindi love song, 'Milte Hi Ankhen'. Here it’s re-titled ’Theremin In Hand’, with Gaudi playing the vocal line on the theremin, while Colin Edwin (of Porcupine Tree) plays bass and Horseman drums.
The track was originally going to be on the “100 Years” album, but a conversation with Adrian Sherwood while the duo were working together on Lee Perry’s “Rainford” album led them to the conclusion that it would be better to release it later as a single.
On the flip is a brand new Gaudi original, ’Theremin Memoir', which finds him channeling Serge Gainsbourg and Ennio Morricone in his homage to their 60’s and 70’s films. Colin Edwin again plays bass, with all other instruments are played by Gaudi.
Both tracks represent a continuation of the themes developed on the “100 Years” album, with Gaudi’s theremin riding the riddims in the same way that Augustus Pablo did with his melodica. The instrument’s other worldliness proves to be a perfect fit with reggae’s earthy roots, allowing the melodies to glide and float in harmony. Bandcamp called it a “match made in heaven”, Electronic Sound a “true triumph” and Culture Dub an “unlikely but undeniably successful union”.
'Theremin in Hand/Theremin Memoir' is the perfect accompaniment to '100 Years of Theremin (The Dub Chapter)', furthering Gaudi's tribute to Leon Theremin and his amazing instrument on its centenary.
Rob Smith aka RSD is a man that should need no introduction - from pioneering trip hop and the foundations of the Bristol sound in the late 80s with Smith & Mighty to writing some of the biggest dubstep tracks of all time under his RSD alias - not to mention killing it to this day with his impeccable DJ sets and fire dubplates - Rob is nothing short of a certified legend. It is a great honour to welcome him back to Foundation Audio with 2 MASSIVE cuts for the next in our 10” series.
'Old Fish' is a rework of his classic 2007 tune 'Kingfisher' aptly titled 'Old Fish' 'Because it's a version of an old tune... and it stinks!!!'
'Shell Fish' was going to be called 'New Fish' because it's based on the Kingfisher template but changed to 'Shell Fish' when I added samples from Ghost In The Shell' says the man himself.
New flagship band of the Swiss ska and rocksteady scene, Cosmic Shuffling finally delivers its first album, Magic Rocket Ship. After the success of its first EP, Cosmic Goes Wild, which was playlisted for more than a year on the Swiss national radios, elected in the ten best records of the genre in 2017 and internationally acclaimed by the specialized critics, the Geneva band had to live up to the expectations, and it's done. Magic Rocket Ship is both a tribute to the Jamaican music of the 1960s and a breakthrough into the futuristic world of the sextet. Recorded in the aesthetics of sixties sound, ribbon microphones, magnetic tapes and analog saturation, it was Roberto Sánchez, the extraordinary Spanish producer, who mixed the nine original tracks on this LP. Dancing from beginning to end like a comet in space, Magic Rocket Ship is a real musical nugget that will delight both vintage fans and music lovers in search of freshness. To be discovered urgently!

Nottingham's Origin One returns with another bass heavy anthem. Traversing roots reggae, hip hop, dub and steppers this is a perfect example of Origin One's style of production, eclectic in influence and heavy on the bottom end.
As the title may suggest the track is a tribute to the herb, delivered by Ghanaian born MC/rapper Kweku (K.O.G) who absolutely destroys the track. Already getting spins on some of the UK's biggest soundsystems, this should see some heavy rotation!
After an 8 year hiatus, No Comply are back with a bang, serving up a true 'root and branch' release. Dubstep juggernauts N-Type and Kromestar pertain to the first part of that adage, providing a high pressure, melodic remix of Cloud Chamber.
Ever eager to feature new talent, No Comply turn to the talents of saxophonist, Jake Marlow. His stellar performance across the two tracks belies the fact of this being his vinyl debut.
Limited to 300 copies worldwide, this unique collaboration is not to be slept on.
Teffa pioneers uncharted 140 dungeons in his triple-hitting ‘Toastin’ EP, marking his Albion Collective debut.
Title track, ‘Toastin’, rallies a submersive procession through contemporary dubstep, adorned with golden-age echoes and diamond-edge percussion. Descending into the B-side’s oubliette, ‘Luna’ barks, skanks and growls around subterranean temple walls, where dubbed-out lights and spacious textures emancipate the dance. ‘Gelato’ draws it all back, stalwart sub-bass leading heads down while strict kick-and-snare combos strengthen the sway.
Rarely retracing his steps, architect Teffa builds new tapestries into each vinyl revolution, evolving the vibe across every slice of his debut ‘Toastin’ EP on Albion Collective. Regarding second drops… good things come to those who wait.
HTS005 bring East Man & Walton back together for another collaborative single. The A side, ‘Screw Face’, is a hard as nails square wave 8 bar banger with a big bad bass line that makes you want to screw up your face and jump around the dance floor.
The B side is a hard stepper that plods along at a seemingly glacial pace. ‘Don’t Speak’ brings a mix of off kilter percussion and chest rattling sub bass that when combined bring a deep meditative quality to the track. This is one for the head nodders in the dark corners of the dance.
Acid Skanking is dedicated to cross-cultural riddims. the first one drops versions of the ‚planck‘ riddim: acid basslines meets dub science on 162 bpm. there we go ska rude girls and boys skanking on acid. the flip side with the ‚hypernism planck‘ brings back old school hardcore on the same bassline inclusive a proper slamming hoover ending.
After the initial release of ENV012 Kloudmen started sending music that was a level beyond what we had previously heard from the duo. Remixes of and Plays by major scene players such as Caspa and Hatcha as well as the fresh blood in the forms of Bukez, Samba, Sepia etc.
Then out of nowhere in a fashion that caught our ears Kloudmen x Rez. We had to know more! The result was this release.
Cosmic Shuffling, the Geneva based combo, made a strong impact a couple months ago with its double A side ska 7” single “Eastern Ska” b/w “Western Ska”. Before releasing the band’s new album, we are happy to give you another double scorcher on 7” record. The gorgeous instrumental “Short Break” on the A side brings us right back to the mid sixties of Jamaica, when Rocksteady was king. “Revenge” on the flip side is a shuffle ska led by a magnificent six-piece horns section. Named after Anne Bonny’s boat, this song is an exclusive 7” release, it will not feature on the upcoming album. Real authentic sounds to make you jump and twist!
