Content we’d nailed the EP we had a few TPs pressed; sending them out to a handful of influential DJs and promoters from back in the day. I remember being in a club and hearing a track that sounded a lot like ‘Release Yourself’, only at a slower tempo. The thing was, the DJ who’d got hold of the TP (sorry can’t remember who?!) was a house DJ. He was playing it at 33 rather than 45. Still sounded good as a House track though!! ‘Time to get Raw’ was the first track written by the original Persons Unknown collective and Time to get Raw (Part 2) expanded on the original; adding some extra layers, time stretched beats and a new arrangement. Dope Jam became a favourite with many who bought the original EP I think because it still had that Old Skool 92/93 feel, but with some of the filtered beats and techniques that artists were experimenting with at the time. Killa is definitely my favourite track from the second EP, you can hear all the elements from the contributing artists in this track. As with the first EP we decided to keep the true identity of the artists a mystery; continuing with Persons Unknown. The original artists from 93 still remain a mystery. Re-engineered, Cleaned Up and Remastered in 2020; bringing the music back to life...
From the vaults of Persons Unknown, BSBR007 Motion Sickness is material from the 90's Persons Unknown USA tour. Unearthed, cleaned, re-edited and remastered, these tracks capture that 90s drum and bass sound. Fusing the creative ideas, stems and music from the original artists Omni-Trio and Syko under the name 'Persons Unknown'. We have worked meticulously to create these timeless tracks; adding to the Persons Unknown story.
Dan Kye is the mysteriously evoked moniker from multi-instrumentalist, producer, and vocal sensation Jordan Rakei. The New Zealand-born artist - who now resides in London - presents his first long-player from Dan Kye, ‘Small Moments’, on Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section INTL. An ode to the dancefloor, the musical project was born out of Jordan’s lockdown experience, created from the comfort of his own home. Recorded with just a laptop, extra live instruments and guest musicians, ‘Small Moments’ seamlessly transcends across electronica, jazz and funk, with each genre being effortlessly fused with Jordan’s melancholy vocals. Allowing himself to push the boundaries, Jordan’s Dan Kye moniker draws on the energetic and uplifting elements of house and techno and perfectly mixes it with the sultry vocals and emotion that come with the live elements we know and love from Jordan Rakei. The record offers listeners a journey through more floor-heavy tracks such as ‘Mogeri’ and ‘Raro’ to more groove infused offerings such as ‘Rainbow Road’ (which is named after one of the maps in Mario Kart and inspired by the energy of Prince’s iconic live concert at The Aladdin in Las Vegas), whilst tracks, like ‘Sober’, take on a more lyrical and anthemic feel.

Rocksteady cover of the undoubtable Impressions' anthem. Out of many rocksteady tunes this one stands out with its splendid arrange and engineering genius. Backed with The Uniques legendary "Never Let Me Go".
Highly sought after double A-sided female rocksteady vocals. Dawn Penn cut of The Uniques - Let Me Go Girl. On flip side is another popular female vocal tune by Diane Lawrence that was also covered by Norma Frazer for Studio One
Further skirmishes at the Tosche Station from Planet Mu label boss Mike Paradinas, whose first Tusken Raiders EP on Clear Records 25 years ago brought an infinitely more-dusty-than-digital vibe, delivering a rugged, electro-infused uptake of the type of battered machine funk produced and enjoyed by Tatooine's indigenous, Bantha-riding tribespeople.
Hailing from the latter part of Mike's 'Lunatic Harness' sessions in 1998, these 8 previously unreleased, largely-breakbeat tracks deliver a salvo of scuffed sonic rinse outs and mutant house jams from a figure who has done so much to bring about and support experimental electronica, breakcore and footwork scenes over the past three decades.
Art by SODA, with graff handstyle by Ben Drury and REQ TDK. Compiled by The Fissure Family.
Brand new album of pure bass and breaks ingenuity from the consistently brilliant Brighton, UK-based producer, who has had previous releases on Sneaker Social Club and is tipped for forthcoming work on Moving Shadow and Planet Mu shortly. Featuring art by RAYS with handstyle track titles on the vinyl edition by REQ TDK.
The Limited Series continues with the 9th release on the sub label. BPLS009 presents a 5 track compilation of stripped back and scantily clad drum tracks. 2020 hasn't been the year for clubs so here's something low key. The opening track "Pitch Control" comes from Guava. A subtle composition of percussive tools and well crafted sub bass, further exploring his sound from previous appearances on Holding Hands and Control Freak. LUXE fka DJ Luz, the Manchester based producer and B.L.O.O.M affiliate provides her debut track "Falcon's Rise", a nostalgic remedy with a euphoric vox and scattered jungle drums.
Part two opens up to French producer Pipholp, his second appearance on the label, adding another broken beat, IDM inspired jazzy house entry with "Angers". A sense of patience between moods leaving you in limbo. Monotronique also joins with "Beat Himself" on the B2, a no nonsense bass heavy DJ tool for that specific peak occasion. More danger after his debut appearance on the Black Label Series (BPBL03) last year. In a total mood change, the release comes to a meditative close with "Wide Awake" from Padre Oe. A collaboration between Pete Lazonby, an artist with a long history most known for his chart heading solo production "Sacred Cycles" on Brainiak Records in the 90's, and Otto Fischer, a Nigerian free-improvising singer, lyricist and guitarist best known for his guitar work with the Alexander Hawkins Ensemble. The track also features Henry Lowther on trumpet, widely recognized as one the UK's best, and the strongest contributor to Talk Talk's Spirit of Eden with dozens of top of the pops appearances with a spanning list of important and renowned bands appearing at Ronnie Scott's to Woodstock. The mood is Blue. One Love. BP x
Bay Sine Recordings, originally known as Bunkr Music, started as a project of music blog Playhous.net. A year after it's founding, Bunkr separated from Playhous and the name has since been changed to Bay Sine Recordings. Bay Sine was officially launched December 7, 2016 with a party played by the one and only DJ N-Type.
Deekline and Ed Solo’s original ragga jungle anthem ‘Bad Boys’ was released way back in 2012 and was well supported by both DJs and ravers alike. If you stepped into a dance in 2019 you will have almost certainly heard the mysterious dub of ‘Bad Boys’ that was doing the rounds which in turn, has now been revealed at the Ben Snow remix.
It’s almost a crime to plaster Ben with the title of ‘up and coming’ since he’s already had numerous amounts of heat signed to various labels in the scene. Don’t forget he’s also been touring the globe, laying down freshness on the DJ circuit..
The remix of ‘Bad Boys’ obviously retains the original vocals but does away with the bubblin’ bassline made famous by Deekline and Ed Solo and switches it out for numerous offkey, single note riffs. Not to be labeled with the obvious “just another foghorn” comments, this version takes a risk, but it pays off well. You only have to look back to last year to see the amount of damage it’s done on promo!
Keep your eyes on Ben Snow, his roots are still firmly in the jungle.

Two previously unreleased 1992 tracks by jungle techno pioneer Ron Wells under one of his many pseudonyms. Side A featured on Fantazia's iconic "The First Taste album, and "Free My Soul" was an unused track from the same project. This release is limited to just 80 copies!
Following on from the well received debut release from Progression / Michael Wells aka G.T.O / Aahan and Boglin, Syntax Error return with four tracks on Syntax Error 002! Including a beast of a tune from Pitch Invasion from 1997, with a wicked remix from D.A.V.E The Drummer. This has tore the roof off many a gig over the past two decades, and when it first came out the original was hammered by the likes of Dave Clarke, Ribbz, John Berry (The Orbit), and many more techno heroes!
On the flip label boss Louk turns up the Birmingham meets Rotterdam inspired Penalty Kick. Having the working title of 'Fuck VAR' and continuing the theme of Division 1 by Pitch Invasion, here he goes for something meticulous but driving, with an energetic remix from Germany's techno stalwart, Andreas Kraemer!

Infernal Sounds welcomes Cluekid back to the fray, returning to release two of his most sought after dubs in 'Electric Avenue' & 'Horizontal'. The legendary producer throws you right back to the '08 days on the A side, taking you in with straight junglist sampling and a low-end wobble of a freshly set blamanche. 'Horizontal' displays the same sort of traits, but gives you an added dub-flex through the backdrop melody, and a low-end you'll feel right down in your stomach. It's an ultimate double XL.
For this full length album release on Suspect Packages we present to you an unknown Bournemouth based producer known only as Lost Loops, he’s had plenty of material out in other genres of music over the years, namely Drum & Bass, but here and now, it’s all about the dusty Jazz sampling boom bap bangin’ Hip Hop beats.
After receiving a promo copy of this unreleased gem we found ourselves continually pressing play on this magnificent set of tracks that all seemed to flow effortlessly into one an other, oozing 100% quality production. We investigated further and found an artist that isn’t present on any social media platform, aside from Soundcloud, and simply wants to let the music do the talking. Without hesitation, we wanted to be the ones to let the world know about Lost Loops and Respect The Craft.
Predominantly an instrumental affair this 18 track album takes you on a magnificent journey into a jazz, soul, funk and hip hop soundscape with each track lifting the vibes and giving you a feeling of freedom and enlightenment during these strange times. Adding to the flavour come emcees Phoenix Da Icefire, Pupils Of The Clock & Myndd, plus DJ’s Jabbathakut & Twitch.
2LP Over the past decade, SUED co-founder SW. has arranged the building blocks of dreamy rave and techno music-billowing pads, undulating sub-bass and adroit, nuanced drum programming-into and novel dance floor structures. TRUElipS, SW.’s first full album since 2016 and his first for Avenue 66, is a beguiling, fully-realised statement. The 12-track LP is rooted in the storied ’90s era when the spirit of orbital raves and free parties was channeled into massive leaps forward in the studio. A combination of house and drum & bass looms large, as does the much-referenced intelligent techno era, but if you’ve listened to an SW. record, you already know TRUElipS is the work of a singular auteur. Breakbeats, rave stabs and major chords permeate the album, motoring along on a chassis of sine-wave bass lines and SW’s widescreen percussive vision. Forays into downtempo and sweeping ambience keep the listener’s head in the clouds, while the superb melodic techno constructions that comprise the album’s core are at once contemplative and liable to bring on a giddy head rush. TRUElipS brims with the optimistic, escapist spirit that fueled dance music’s original triumph, a throwback to bright, imagined futures.
COEO are back on Toy Tonics! After uninterrupted touring around the globe, followed by a short creative break the guys come back with an even stronger sound. With the new EP they go more underground again. Its addressed to the clubs and night owls out there, who turn night into day and won't stop dancing!
The sound is based on classic house patterns and includes a lot of cool saxophones, big piano stabs & rhythmic piano solos. They even go tribal, use arpeggios and switch into breakbeat heaven. The four Originals are a great next step in the COEO evolution. The unique warm, catchy atmosphere of the tracks can create that special COEO euphoria which made them a lot of fans. From Moodymann to Disclosure, Mall Grab to Kenny Dope, the list is long.
It’s fantastic to see how popular they became over the last couple of years. The last COEO vinyl sold over 2500 copies and some of their tracks have millions of Spotify plays. It’s DJ FOOD. Pure bliss!
