"For us, the Start Taking Note is a marvelous Frankenstein of sonic fragments. Foley, samples, ethnic instruments and late night synth jam sessions put together over solid UK Grime Influenced beats, bring together a sound of multiple generations of music and musicians together, to create this unique adrenaline shot.
We always strived to distinguish ourselves from the generic sound of the club scene, and we consider EP to be the foundation of our audio/visual identity.
Belgrade's urban underground music scene and the urban graffiti art is something that brought us all together, and will always stay a purest form of inspiration.
We also very grateful for Killa P's guest appearance on the EP title track. His career, tunes and artist he worked with amongst the core influences of our sound."

Kicking off 2021 in KOC’s teeming keepnet comes courtesy of Roza Terenzi & Fantastic Man under the guise of production unit B’Zircon.
Merging the pair’s brill touch of trance-suffused elevation and ankle-twisting dynamics, ‘Lazulination’ EP finds the two producers unleashing a steadfast triad of genre-unbound, organic-grown jams out the deepest blue.
Pulling out a savvy mix of muscular breaks and hi-NRG shuffle, the ‘90s atmospheric techno-laced roller ‘Azure’ revs up towards upper, euphoria-inducing layers of the ravey continuum.
Breath-hold diving into lush cerulean ocean floors via white sand beachscapes, ‘Ultramarine’ has us speeding up the Gold Coast’s underwater canyons at full throttle.
Topping off the release is Perko’s crossover of both tunes as one, taking us on a rivetingly soothing, bass-enhanced downtempo ride that shall please both ambient heads and laid-back dubs revellers in unison.

Gerd Janson, Lexx, Bell Towers, Belia Winnewisser, DJ Kaos and Never4ever remixed Ethimm’s By Night EP.
We all know Nights are nicer when you are with your friends, so Ethimm asked some of his old friends and favorite acts to remix his recent EP ‘By Night’. Quite a few hopped on the bandwagon: Germany’s most prolific remixer and DJs DJ Gerd Janson turned Ethimm’s ‘Lies’ into a relentlessly deep and driving house cut with drums reminiscent of New Order. Balearic boss Lexx stripped the track down to its bare vocal and rebuilt it with a 90ies New York vibe. Bell Towers added his prototypical leftfield approach to ‘Don’t Go Away’, while Berlin’s legendary DJ Kaos remade it into a classic acid stomper. The remix EP is completed by newcomer Never4Ever’s breakbeat treatment of the same track and swiss experimental queen Belia Winnewisser’s treatment of ‘Island Jam’.

Clap! Clap!’s music is a unique blend of global dance and timeless sounds drawing from nature, traditional music, field recordings, and the electronic savvy of modern centres like Chicago and London. At its core are the inspiration of everyday life, what Crisci calls “the search for new flavours,” and a unifying narrative approach. The results are albums that play out like sonic movies. 2014's Tayi Bebba was a soundtrack tour of an imaginary island, and 2016's A Thousand Skies told the story of a young girl's journey through the stars.
Following these albums, Crisci took a break from focusing on samples and composition to study sound dynamics and the science of mixing and engineering. He changed his studio and tools, putting more emphasis on the correct melding of analog and digital technology. His third album, Liquid Portraits, is a result of this process with a new compositional approach that puts a stronger focus on field recording and sound design to achieve clarity without diminishing the energy and enthusiasm of the music. As the name hints at, the album is a collection of sonic paintings, an attempt at capturing furtive, subconscious memories through sound. The tracks reference trips Crisci took and people he met – from southern Italy to Hokkaido via the Kif Mountains of Morocco – as well as more abstract ideas of loss, calmness, and childhood. Helped by a small cast of close collaborators – harpist Kety Fusco, singer Martha Da'ro, percussionist Domenico Candellori, and bassist Piero Spitilli – Liquid Portraits is a major new step in Crisci's evolution as an artist.

Saul is a new duo composed of Barney Whittaker (Footshooter) and Jack Stephenson-Oliver (Vels Trio / Poppy Ajudha / Charlotte dos Santos)
The band, having debuted at Brainchild Festival in 2018, have spent the last couple of years working on material for this stunning debut EP.
Featuring friends and frequent collaborators Brother Portrait (Steam Down) and Poppy Ajudha, the 6 track EP simmers with a potent UK energy; paying homage to the sounds of Garage, Jungle and Broken Beat all in the context of the new wave of London Jazz - of which all members of this project are key players.
Opening track, ‘No Fuss No Fight’ provides a blissed out, shuffling backdrop to showcase Brother Portrait’s toast to the dance, in which he effortlessly switches from spoken word to fast paced delivery. “oi selector, come save my life - I don’t want no fuss no fight’. At once dothing its cap to Mala’s iconic Anti War Dub whilst taking inspiration from The Street’s observational masterpiece Weak Become Heroes - this is a song with ‘instant classic’ written all over it. Ping Pong is a Kaidi Tatham-esque workout, leading us nicely to standout track Earth Rain feat. breakthrough London Singer Poppy Ajudha. The synergy between Jack on keys and Poppy on Vocals is clear; the two have been playing together for years and combine perfectly on this sun drenched contemporary take on the so called broken-beat style.
All in all, the EP is equally at home in the club as it is in the living room, owing to it’s balance of epicness and musicality. This is undoubtedly a product of London town and couldn’t fit more perfectly with the expansive sound of Rhythm Section INTL.

a2. Saul - Ping Pong
a3. Saul - Interlude
b1. Saul - Earth & Rain feat. Poppy Ajudha)

For this full length album release on Suspect Packages we present to you an unknown Bournemouth based producer known only as Lost Loops, he’s had plenty of material out in other genres of music over the years, namely Drum & Bass, but here and now, it’s all about the dusty Jazz sampling boom bap bangin’ Hip Hop beats.
After receiving a promo copy of this unreleased gem we found ourselves continually pressing play on this magnificent set of tracks that all seemed to flow effortlessly into one an other, oozing 100% quality production. We investigated further and found an artist that isn’t present on any social media platform, aside from Soundcloud, and simply wants to let the music do the talking. Without hesitation, we wanted to be the ones to let the world know about Lost Loops and Respect The Craft.
Predominantly an instrumental affair this 18 track album takes you on a magnificent journey into a jazz, soul, funk and hip hop soundscape with each track lifting the vibes and giving you a feeling of freedom and enlightenment during these strange times. Following up from 2019’s Livity Sound release ‘Goulbap/Momoweb/Disposition’, which seemed to catapult Bakongo into a different scenery and introduce Wayne to old friends and long time support of his older tribal material along the way as well as surprising those who had no idea both monikers were the same person.
Slotting into a scene of Tribal sonics and a Techno atmosphere it almost seems as a new genre if we pigeon holed ourselves into specific categories as if it was 2010 again, but digging into Roska/ Bakongo’s early material, tracks like Roska’s remix of Four Tet’s Love Cry and Untold - Just For You, you can hear early examples of sounds that were explored and tested as early as 2009. Mixing the two sounds of Roska’s heavily stripped back style and Bakongo’s tribal and percussive madness enhances and uplifts what a generation have been complimenting the last 10 years.
Moving forward to this release ‘Bopster / Anytime’ you see exactly where Bakongo is going and the direction where his sound is suited.
a1. Bakongo - Bopster
b1. Bakongo - Anytime

Peter Michael Hamel emerged from the 70s Krautrock scene dreaming of “the blue flower growing between the milestones on the road to a future world-music”. A truly visionary artist who worked and studied with John Cage, Morton Feldman and Terry Riley, his 1980 Colours of Time LP - an epic, sprawling, 22-minute saga - was hailed by The Guardian’s Rob Fitzpatrick as “an absolute masterpiece of skull-bursting, synth-led ambient minimalism”. Thirty six years on, Astral Industries reinterpret Hamel's original vision with remixes from two contemporary heavyweights - Wolfgang Voigt and Rod Modell (aka Deepchord). Each expansive interpretation invites you to step outside of reality and into an alternative imagination of Hamel's future world, spiralling into the colours and slowly out of time itself. Original artwork by Theo Ellsworth and a massive thanks to Peter Michael Hamel & Eckart Rahn.
