Legendary British producer Kevin Martin is back with his first new full-length album under The Bug moniker in seven years. ‘Fire’, the third album to his urban triptych (‘London Zoo’ and ‘Angels & Devils’) is released on Ninja Tune.
Kevin Martin is known globally for his experimental cross of genres (electronic, hip-hop, dubstep, dancehall and grime) and has received endless support over the years from fans and press alike. His previous records have received critical acclaim, with ‘London Zoo’ (2008) named Record Of The Year in Wired’s annual critics’ poll, and ‘Angels & Devils’ (2014) ranked #2 on Crack’s Albums Of The Year, Mojo’s Top 10 Albums Of The Year’, #5 in Quietus’ Albums Of The Year and #18 on Rolling Stone’s 20 Best Electronic & Dance Albums Of 2014, plus many more.
‘Fire’ is an exhilarating 14 track album featuring the legendary MCs Moor Mother, Flowdan, Daddy Freddy, Irah, Roger Robison, Nazamba, FFSYTHO, Manga and Logan, and possibly the most ferociously realised and immensely moving music Kevin has ever made. The record is a response to the unique circumstances of the past year and also a chance to reflect on his journey from reclusive sound-obsessive to family man.
The Bug has previously performed at internationally renowned festivals such as Glastonbury, Primavera Sound, Roskilde, Supersonic, Way Out West and Sound City.

“It's 24 hours to choose your own adventure: from morning to night, into first light. Music for all hours, and music that’s all ours too”.
‘All Hours’ pays homage to the many faces and seminal eras of electronic music; an ambitious, evocative interpretation of the sounds and sentiments that make a day (and night) out on the UK underground.
Transporting us on a heady trip, we meet a contemplative but optimistic Anz at ‘Decisions (AM Intro)’ before venturing into the effervescent afternoon sunshine of ‘You Could Be ft. George Riley’. The evening brings the sweet UKG shuffle of ‘Real Enough To Feel Good’ before we step up to ‘Inna Circle’, a Motor City-via-Manchester workout engineered to get dancefloors moving. Early hours club mutations arrive courtesy of ‘Last Before Lights’, hoovering up warps, pads and kinetic breakbeats in Anz’ inimitable fashion. Lights on and doors open, we emerge wide eyed on ‘Quest Select (AM Outro)’ with the last 24 hours ringing in our ears.

‘Fragments’ is a huge event, destined to be one of the crossover electronic albums of the year, and Bonobo’s masterpiece.
The album features collaborations with Jamila Woods, Kadhja Bonet, Jordan Rakei, O’Flynn, Joji and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. While there is sorrow and introspection here, there is just as much a sense of release, of going with the flow and freedom. It’s about the dancefloor in many ways - but the positivity isn’t just in the uptempo rhythms: even the most introspective and melancholic pieces have joy in them.
'Fragments’ has been one of the most emotionally intense records yet to create for Bonobo aka Simon Green, and it shows. Its electronic sounds are more powerfully hypnotic, the beauty of acoustic instruments is more exquisitely realised, the two are interwoven more totally - and the songs are unforgettable.

'Out From Out Where’, the classic Amon Tobin album from 2002, is being reissued for the first time on gold coloured vinyl with a glow in the dark effect on the front cover.
With ‘Out From Out Where’, his fourth album under his own name, Amon Tobin cemented his reputation as one of the most innovative and important names in electronic music. It was darker, more complex, even more rhythmically driving and intense than what had come before.

Belfast-born, London-based duo Bicep (Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson) release their hotly anticipated second album, “Isles”, on 22 January 2021 via Ninja Tune.
Two years in the making, “Isles” expands on the artful energy of their 2018 debut “Bicep”, while digging deeper into the sounds, experiences and emotions that have influenced their lives and work, from early days in Belfast to their move to London a decade ago. “We have strong mixed emotions, connected to growing up on an island” they say, “wanting to leave, wanting to return”. “Isles” is, in part, a meditation on these contradictions, the struggle between the expansive and the introspective, isolation and euphoria.
The breadth of music they’ve been exposed to in London during this time informs “Isles’” massive sonic palette; both cite the joy of discovering Hindi vocals overheard from distant rooftops, snatches of Bulgarian choirs drifting from passing cars, hitting Shazam in a kebab house in the vain hopes of identifying a Turkish pop song. But time away from home has also made the pair more reflective about the move between islands which led them here.

Swedish musician and producer DJ Seinfeld (Armand Jakobsson) returns with his brand-new album, ‘Mirrors’, on Ninja Tune. Recorded between Berlin and Malmö, ‘Mirrors’ sees his music come firmly into focus, touching on everything from UK Garage to downtempo house to ambient to breaks and is an at times tender, at times euphoric sonic journey with a producer slowly realising his full potential.

The best musical mavericks never sit still for long. They mutate and morph into new shapes, refusing to be boxed in. Floating Points has so many guises that it’s not easy to pin him down. There’s the composer whose 2015 debut album Elaenia was met with rave reviews – including being named Pitchfork’s ‘Best New Music’ and Resident Advisor’s ‘Album of the Year’ – and took him from dancefloors to festival stages worldwide. The curator whose record labels have brought soulful new sounds into the club, and, on his esteemed imprint Melodies International, reinstated old ones. The classicist, the disco guy that makes machine music, the digger always searching for untapped gems to re-release. And then there’s the DJ whose liberal approach to genre saw him once drop a 20-minute instrumental by spiritual saxophonist Pharoah Sanders in Berghain.
Crush was made during an intense five-week period, inspired by the invigorating improvisation of his shows supporting The xx in 2017. He had just finished touring with his own live ensemble, culminating in a Coachella appearance, when he suddenly became a one-man band, just him and his trusty Buchla opening up for half an hour every night. He thought what he’d come out with would "be really melodic and slow- building" to suit the mood of the headliners, but what he ended up playing was "some of the most obtuse and aggressive music I've ever made, in front of 20,000 people every night," he says. "It was liberating."
“Karma & Desire” includes guest collaborations from Sampha, Zsela and Aura T-09 and more. It’s “a romantic tragedy set between the heavens and the underworld” says Actress (Darren J. Cunningham) “the same sort of things that I like to talk about – love, death, technology, the questioning of one's being”. The presence of human voices take the questing artist into new territory.
