In another tight and consistent projection, Paxton Fettel actualizes his assertion for independence, eclecticism and voodoo - with a collection of delightful enchanting vibes.
Familiarly neat and energetic, house beats and crystal-clear chords accord to accompany the melodic dawdling, while insatiable and unbelievably facetious talkative babblings of all kinds stretch out into organic gliding laces.
The purposefully optimistic and spirited atmosphere is the echo of the ceaseless quest for serious lightness, relaxed ecstatic states, truth and wonders.
At the intersection of devoted beginnings and mastered preferences, this EP provides a soothing expression of the reality of change, and acts as the denouement of a true explorative pit stop for the musician - and the listener, always playful, and sprucely yours.

This time around, Greta Cottage Workshop indulges in a favourite pastime. Dubbed out 10” Vinyl.
Flashback Of Time: A haunting Dub Techno peregrination . . . giving you that grind it out happening, with your nearest grubby basement/dub rig interface. Big Inside The Ride.
Utopia & Visions: More of a ‘Sunday Morning, yet I’m not in bed’ experience - replete with laughing children, alien windstorms and DMT pixies chattering in your third earhole. Waste a whole day with two copies and a crusty old mixer.

RDMA has been with GCW for time – yet this is a first time outing on record. Worth the wait.
FINALLY we get to the release stage of this Epic Production run. (Term not taken lightly) Belting tripped out goodness with initial pelter Dogness, intimately immersive and stunningly constrained into a sub plunging landscape Kalender days gets built on a solid jacking proper chunky as anything heads down roller of a foundation… an immaculate build up featuring the vocal craft of Alex Ookpik who’s expansive influence has impacted every rhythm felt. Tragically Alex passed away suddenly in November… the collaboration work unfinished, her utterly infectious and divine presence is with us Automony collectively details thumping and brutal flinging thuds. Systematic fluidity gunks a swaying struggle Almighty and dynamic Capelulo straps on the chug tractor cranking up the epic factor, theres a faithful blues ingrained here… as it readies for the endorphins to boot in Back wall cainer in mind Ode to Hines... achingly efficient, dub wise its precise and aptly in check … devastating tackle Grimes has had a long association with GCW. From Lyrical Swords in the FreeRo campsite, to having a Paxton Fettel EP named in his honour (Not bad for a Tenner) The concept was finally finished in Griessmuehle, plenty versions later here we are. What started as a two track project ended up as five.
CD Edition. LP also available. Theo Conard, also known as Paxton Fettel delivers his second LP on Greta Cottage Workshop. Entirely Produced by Mr Fettel it’s an exemplary mix of predominantly instrumental contemporary jazz funk, sometimes featuring the vocal talents of one Olivia Lincoln.. From the very beginning it is totally and utterly heartfelt - until the floor churning and brazenly life affirming end his emotions are worn firmly on his sleeve. It’s a serious embodiment of proper fusion and a testament to a phenomenal producer progressively pushing his work in a playful, honest, admirable and honourable way...whilst not taking himself too seriously!

A split, double A side EP from arnaldo & monoak for your listening pleasures.
Arnaldo’s side fires off with the heavy Amber Green – a blossoming of material, feels like a post Gary come around when all is well with the one. Balerically drenched body gubbins.
Melodic chanting blesser Going Under To Meet You crafts out a sucker punch for the open hearted. Charming your pants off from the inside out, delighting william is a reet worn frit.
Flip over for ecstatic Monoak: Perth pans & skanks to the unison of a chuffed alternate big room treat. Embracing optimystiqal to the full, gliding with whimsical predisposition to sweaty hugs & swapped numbers on bits of fag packets.
Get flogged ‘round the heart strings and succumb to the most solid of urges. The Last Season farewell serenade is as hopeful as it is yearning, eking out the deepest of feelings with buckets of faded memories.
The return of Wasserfall to the Workshop brings a bunch of well-informed, beautifully executed & idiosyncratic tunes that represent our man so well.
Charlie, the opener is kind of oddball, jazzed out, abstract house with a strange Charlie Parker homage. Stoned mumbles murk around ideally tuned rimshots and double bass flecks that 'cheekily' plod about sounding like a stumbling one man band.
Solid and bumping, Semidaler is gloriously defined by dense mysticism. Sumptuous sample work clocked by a deliciously repetitious and evolved sub pulse.
The similarly veined Tardigrades yields tearduct affecting allure. Intimately expansive, on the rest-assuring tip!
Sobering Voluspaa's funk eclipses it's melancholy vibe of solitary plight with a back room smoke up. Enlisting a heads down arm rubs, a delicate transcendance and A GROOVE.
Conglomorate delivers another vibe to hug the downstairs wall by. Its ability to hold a moment makes 7 minutes feel like 5 seconds. Tackle indeed for the basement bound.
Balsamic State Terriors dives in head on with an intensifying smart polyphonic quick heeled march. The swinging trudge is as tight as a happy squirrels sack, a tasty, heads down, arm waving tweaker.
Rootsie africana pit wetter Jackdaws On Astroturf gets straight to it, no messing about. Softly percussing with delicate timing & subtle shifts but driving and progressive… Easy does it. Proper hypnotic fare this, once championed early doors in a live room 2 FreeRo set.. Which could well now leave you in a sobbing emotional mess needing a cuddle and a wet flannel. Hang about, pass the chair I may have to a sit down
Ruff cutlet 'This is how we do it’ weaves another specialised tonality work out with, a bouncing techno stomp. The peculiar atmosphere and perplexing rhythms might give you a dodgy tummy but hang on, as it really goes off when Duckett gets his pocket trumpet from out his left hand trouser leg.
B2 goes well Greta I ain't seen the cat for 3 days now - with missing cats and heartfelt keys. Cosmic blues wrapped in a very big, yet cold, cold towel. Distorted jazz vibing to a neat and concise synthetic unraveling. Totally one for the end of the night / carry on crew giving it bundamentals (MC Tom Demac would have been the icing on the proverbial - but ya can’t have it all!)
Sideways Honkin’ Dancefloor Stonkin’ relentless grooves for your rekid box.
Karius Und Baktus is a both a hangover from his youth, and a screaming aural legend for that infamous Greasy Donkey basement. To know it is to love it.
Two chewns for the price of one, wait for the lift. Top floor beckons, but best stay in the basement…
The final track in the Trilogy of the Mudkid 10” drops, You know what a Prophet is, right?
Returns you to the beginning of the stumble – closing the loop of a TRUE dub techno ramble,
Arnheim delivers it all on his first outing on Greta Cottage Workshop.
Citizen Advice chugs the bass and key loops until you can take no more. Then does it again. Bit like Alan Partridge shouting ‘DAAAAAAAAN’ you’ll be hooked at the finish line, ready for a rewind.
Viction rattles the perc tin like its coffee time for drummers. Heartbreaking keys melt you down to the ground then live double bass builds you right back up. Pass the tissues round the dancefloor…
One Beat is a straight up basement party jam for the jazz house believer. Noisy samples fuzz around grooves then lilt into the distance, All the while those live drums crank the tension. Live Bass & finger snaps throw tasty finishing spices into the pot.
Mild Silhouette Of A Man gets all Wizard of Oz on yer ass… The tin man comes clanking out the speakers, slammin’ the ole one note bass & spoken word into your soul like the first time you heard it. Come here my man…
GCW lovingly presents the debut album of a Mr Paxton Fettel. To cut not a particularly long story short, you’re in for a real treat.
Everything stays the same is a beautifully conceived work of house music which delves in depth and diversity, tapping into the old bittersweet emotion. It's a true labour of love presented in Double LP format.
Amber light burns opens the mood with subtle and refined melody, a suggestive Detroit dynamic, firing arpeggiated weaving synth work and an enigmatic outlook.
A filtered funk perpetuates on Beyond the sapphire surf, fluctuating hi hats sway in and around a circulating and pulsating low end bump... freaking bass twangs, the full nine yards delivered.
When left to his own devices, utilizing real instruments along with a proper kerfuffle for a shuffle he belts out blinders. Cloud feeling really epitomises the Fettel ethic of playfulness. Blissful charm and slickness for her pleasure.
Another hanny fammer paced down slammer, Dots on the skyline displays proper musicianship placing focus on crafted drummer jams and selected keyboard gems.
Future adventures provokes seemingly effortless expression from the fender rhodes, A poolside tune for poolside loons.
Manifesting the most expressive intuitiveness of an evocative sample gets a lock in here. Lift off thumps and grinds itself along, mad with rich attenuation and weight of skills.
Pax meets Takuya, paralleling influence and sustainability a bond brings out a mad collision. Afloat on a sea of nothing is immersed in an innermost display of passion, brilliantly smoothed over in fine fashion.
Solitary returns re invites the initial heads down bruiser, going out to the lifetime chooser… Return yourself to the start why don’tcha?
