Bolis Pupul returns to DEEWEE with an out and out club moment. The A side brings together kosmiche, melody and disco. The B side is ‘Teknow’ by name and techno by nature. This one will sound massive loud. Produced by Stephen and David Dewaele at DEEWEE, Gent. Sleeve design by Ill Studio, Paris.
Charlotte is a friend of DEEWEE’s. She sings in both English & French. This E.P was written in collaboration between Charlotte and Bolis Pupul then produced by the Dewaele brothers (Soulwax / 2manydjs) at DEEWEE in Ghent. Cont… New Release Information A brief rundown on the tracks… ‘1,618’ arrives somewhere between a futurist song and a cosmic disco sound. It twists and turns. ‘Senegal Seduction’ is a slow melodic ride. ‘Je m’appelle Charlotte’. ‘Le Froid’ is a percussive vocal dub piece. Charlotte’s vocals turned inside then out again. ‘Celle’ is a song addressed to a father and a heartbeat to finish.
The Deewees say… “Five years ago we met Emmanuelle in an office in Milano. For years we asked her to play us some of the music she’d been making on her laptop in her bedroom. When DEEWEE was built we invited the Rio born / Miami raised / Milano based artist to make some music together. This is the first of many things we’ve done so far…”

Future Sound Of Antwerp are the post-digital children of the city’s techno scene, all forgotten mixtapes, and nighttime drives to Ghent. These three tracks, all different, were all produced and mixed at DEEWEE, at night… with a purpose.

2ManyDJs have started a new label called Deewee. Deewee will begin this month with a two-track record from Klanken, Drie / Twee.
The Belgian duo, real names David and StephenDewaelee, are offering little information about who Klanken is. However sales notes for the 12-inch reveal it was recorded in their hometown, Ghent, suggesting the brothers themselves are behind the record.
The Dewaeles rose to prominence as 2ManyDJs in the early 2000s. Since then they’ve toured heavily with their band, Soulwax, and in more recent times they’ve indulged their interest in high-end audio with Despacio, a roving soundsystem they developed with JamesMurphy.
Klanken are two Belgian brothers. Klanken by name Klanken by nature. ‘Vier’ is motorik. Highway engine sounds over rumbling bass. ‘Vijf’ kicks. LFO gone Benelux. These two tracks are the sound of New Beat reinvented from its Belgian home. Metallic machine sound for dancefloors and heads. Sleeve design by Ill Studio, Paris.
Phillipi and Rodrigo have a fondness for synths and classic Brazilian sound. Side A is a playful acid sound created that’s been thoroughly road tested on the Despacio sound system. Side B is a tight modern Balearic Beat for the slower dancefloor.
’Heaven Scent’ is a modern disco take with a suitably classic feel that has Chloë Sevigny, actress of note, reading the poem ‘Prayer To Saint Thérése’ over a percussion-led low down groove. The B side has the effect laden DEEWEEDUB doing exactly what it should do. No bug hurrah, just a classic in the making. Sleeve design by Ill Studio, Paris.
