The year is 2020 and AMIT returns to AMAR with another 2 track 10 inch. Rather than bore you with an explanation of what each track does with a thesaurus led description, we simply ask you to listen and make up your own mind.
Support from: Randall, Aphex Twin, Machinedrum, J:Kenzo, Thom Yorke and Loxy.
AMIT Presents 'Splinters'. 'A generation of eclectic artists all under one roof'. Splinters is an anthology of electronic music from some of the most exciting established and emerging artists working today. Each bring their own unique style, flair and vision to the album, weaving together their disparate voices to create an aural kaleidoscope.
Danny Scrilla rode into town and remixed AMIT’s ‘Fatty Batty’, yes I agree that does sound dodgy. He then made a corker of a flip side and we all rejoiced, the end. Supported by the sickest DJ’s going. Rewind counts have been off the chart. Banned by most radio stations.
NZ based artist Akcept joins up with AMIT’s AMAR label for a journey into Dub/Reggae inspired Bass music. Akcept is an artist who is just on the cusp of breaking through having been picked up by Truth’s Deep Dark & Dangerous label for their recent compilation and about to appear on NZ’s very own Averted Vision label. A solid producer who’s making his mark with this release.
Hot off the back of his ‘Four Stories’ EP AMIT returns with another bold instalment on his beloved label AMAR. Armed with a Trombone, Melodica & serious sub pressure, AMIT delivers a chunky number in ‘Fatty Batty’, this composition has be best described as both “Fatty Batty by name and nature”.
For the Flip, AMIT delivers a nostalgic Dub/Jungle/Halftime number in ‘Operator’, reminding us of our past, present and future.
Support from Youngsta, Mala, OMUnit, Machinedrum, DocScot, Dbridge & J:Kenzo.
Nomine delivers the fourth instalment on AMAR, a four track EP containing a variety of different styles & grooves. Armed with Tibetan bowls, hand drums & a black belt in Jiu Jitsu, Nomine unleashes an array of powerful compositions that will make your brain think and your soul feel. Each track evokes a number of different thoughts & feelings, such as social exclusion, nostalgia and tribal domination.
Support from Toddla T, Thom Yorke, Youngsta, Plastician, Paleman, Addison Groove & Giles Peterson
After many hours spent fishing, AMIT returns with another four track EP on his beloved label AMAR.
Without being centred on any particular sound the '4 Stories' EP is collection of tracks ranging from 120 - 170 BPM, covering sociopathic hunts, derelict towns, a victims song and programmable mind chips.
With support from a variety of front-runners such as Machinedrum, Skream, dBridge, Jimmy Edgar, Goldie, Youngsta, Doc Scott & Nomine these 4 stories have been told the world over.
