We're a sucker for a supervillain/hero here at 7th Storey Projects (please see Globex Corp & Peter Darker if you want to try and dispute this claim) - so it made sense to join forces with the mighty Flex Luthor for an EP of wonderously lo-fi jungly crunchiness...just how we like it!
Four tracks of dread bass, complex and crunchy breaks and generalised jungle naughtiness that should offer something for everyone, and if not, then you might need to consider the possibility that maybe you don't like jungle that much in the first place.
The Invisible Man (aka Doctor G, The Undergraduates, Mysteron amongst other monikers) needs no introduction to anyone with even a passing interest in Hardcore/Jungle/Drum n Bass, having been responsible for such seminal classics as The Beginning, The End, Twisted, The Bell Tune and Stormfields amongst countless others - having released music on Timeless Recordings, G-Spot Records and the legendary Good Looking imprint, 7th Storey Projects are proud and privileged to be able to add this legend of the scene to their list of released artists.
'The Journey EP' contains three killer cuts, first up is the title track; 'The Journey' . Previously unreleased since 1993, this epic, dark roller contains many of the elements that The Invisible Man is known and loved for, we love it - and we know you will too!
The flip side sees a re-release for two much loved tracks, 'The Flute Tune' and 'Space' - the first track was first released in 2008 by fellow old skool label, Sublogic Recordings and is a superb, dark, atmospheric amen-driven track that no lover of deep jungle can ignore!
The second track on the AA side is a beautifully re-mastered version of the classic 'Space' - originally released in 1993 on the short-lived label, Camden Tunes - this is another deep and dark amen track interspersed with uplifting strings and dark, foreboding pads - another must for any fan of Invisible's ouevre!
Alright, maybe he does warrant a bit more than that. Myor boss Coco Bryce returns to his self- proclaimed "second home" at 7th Storey Projects with two new bangers, something of a natural sequel to the much-loved Gunna released on 7th Storey in the form of a cheeky little 10" in 2019.
On the A side you'll find 'My Girl' - a roughneck breakbeat ride but with sweet and soulful vocals and Summery synth-lines smoothing out a bit of the roughness - a typical Coco workout, and that is by no means a bad thing!
On the B is U Can C In There, a gorgeous roller - just listen, the music speaks for itself!
Mastered & cut by Beau Thomas, pressed at Record Industry and presented on Coke Bottle Green vinyl - fancy ;-)
Globex Corp returns once again with a very special 10th release on 7th Storey Projects - featuring four remixes of tracks from previous volumes by four exceptionally cromulent guest remixers; Equinox, Dev/Null, DJ Mindhunter, Phineus II.
Presented on turquoise 12" vinyl with stickered sleeve.
Necrotype & Tim Reaper make their return to the main 7th Storey Projects imprint with the "Exclusive To Bandcamp E.P."
Featuring four untitled cuts, ranging from uplifting hardcore bangers to deep and mellow rollers - this EP showcases two very fine young producers' versatility and love of the 1993 vibe.
Mastered and cut by Beau Thomas at Ten Eight Seven Ltd, Illustration by Malx George.
7th Storey Projects is delighted to present Coco & The Ghost - featuring a pair of wicked jungle cuts from two mainstays of today's jungle scene; Sonar's Ghost and Coco Bryce.
'Turn it Out' by Sonar's Ghost kicks off precedings, a homage to the legendary Tom 'n' Jerry SHELL series, with all the hallmarks of the aforementioned releases, this ragga-infused smasher is primed to set dancefloors ablaze this summer!
Coco Bryce returns once again to 7th Storey Projects with the ragga jungle roller 'Trillion Shekel Man' - featuring rolling breaks, a big bad bassline and a little bit of humour into the mix - unmissable!
Swiftly following on from the successmanship of Globex Corp Volumes 1-8, comes Globex Corp Volume 9. Featuring contributions from usual suspects Dwarde and Tim Reaper, ably assisted by regular collaborators Gand & Mr Sensi, this latest volume combines achy-breaky pelvis inducing floor fillers alongside groin-grabbingly deep jungle riddims. Be a double-bacon geniusburger and grab one quick, else you may be labelled a jerkface, and with good cause.
Dwarde and Tim Reaper are back with the unpossibly good Globex Corp Volume 8. In our opinion one of the blurst volumes yet in this perfectly cromulent series. Featuring four cuts of grade-A jungle and hardcore, don't introubulate yourself by missing this un-craptacular release!
7th Storey Projects are extremely excited to present Collisional Process Volume 1 - a three track EP featuring tracks from three artists that need little introduction to those in the know.
First up is Stories & Visions by Necrotype (Diamond Life, Jungle Rollerz), an atmospheric roller with a haunting soundscape, replete with skittering drums, mentasm stabs and huge sub-bass lines.
The second track is Sepulchral by Drum Cypha (Holotype Audio, Scientific Wax, Timeless Recordings), a schizophrenic amen banger in the best tradition of early Lemon D work.
The EP is rounded off with the epic and beautiful Triton Dawn courtesy of Law & Kola Nut (Repertoire, Silent Force) - a warm welcome to 7th Storey Projects to these two talented guys!
Tim Reaper and Dwarde make an immediate return (literally, this is available at the same time as Volume 6) with four more banging jams, and a warm welcome to Fringe for his Globex Corp bow!
Tim & Dwarde return for Globex Corp Volume 6 with their hippin' and their hoppin' and their bippin' and their boppin'. Four fresh jungle/hardcore cuts from Tim, Dwarde and a special guest appearance from the mighty Sonar's Ghost!
Dutch master FFF (Criterion, Myor, Diamond Life, Planet Mu, PRSPCT RVLT amongst many others) returns to 7th Storey Projects with his first fully solo EP on the label following on from the success of the 2017 Double Dragon EP (in conjunction with Coco Bryce).
The EP opens up with the gloriously uplifting 'Never Give Up (The Vibes)', with it's pitched up vocals, huge oscillating riffs and frenetic drumwork - Tommy shows once again he can flip his hand to any style.
Backed up with the deep and rolling 'Heart' and the dark and deadly amenistic smasher 'Evolved As One' on the B-side, we're immensely proud and honoured to have FFF back on 7th Storey.
Globex Corp returns for the fifth volume of the hugely popular series - featuring four tracks with contributions from usual suspects Tim Reaper, Dwarde and Gand.
Tim Reaper needs no introduction, but we'll give him one anyway. This prolific and talented London-based producer has carved out a formidable reputation within the scene over the last few years, with releases on imprints such as Blu Mar Ten, DSC14, Scientific Wax, 117 Recordings, Skeleton Recordings and Repertoire to name but a few - he is a man who has become one of the most sought-after artists in Jungle/Drum N Bass, and not without reason.
We're delighted to announce Tim's first full solo EP on the main 7th Storey Projects imprint, after contributions on the Dark Arts series, and heavy involvment with the immensely popular 'Globex Corp' offshoot.
Featuring 3 cuts of intense amen-driven fury (My Soul, title-track Monarchy and Unrest)!
Interspersed with the more laid-back roller 'Your Trip', rounding off the 'A' side.
7th Storey Projects are delighted to announce their latest classic re-issue; Jungle Buddha - Seven Chambers EP.
Several years in the making, this limited edition 2 x 12" release features 7 tracks made back in 1993 by Jungle Buddha, including all four from the insanely rare and sought-after Jungle Buddha EP, originally released on Poetic Justice in 1993.
It also contains The Chamber, which has never been released on vinyl before, as well as one previously unreleased track rescued from the original DATs, and rounded off with the techno-stomper 'Purple Gnome'.
The tracks have been remastered from the original DATs, with restoration by Simpatico Mastering and mastered and cut by Beau at Ten Eight Seven, and pressed at Optimal:Media GMBH in Germany.
Globex Corp return with the forth volume of the immensely popular series. Containing four ethereal, atmospheric cuts featuring contributions from Tim Reaper, Dwarde, Worldwide Epidemic and Gand.
7th Storey Projects are delighted to announce an immediate return for Fushara to our label following the success of his previous release with us (Ascension/Nerve, cat number 7TH 12018, released October 2017).
Consistent with his previous output, this release contains two epic tracks which evoke the themes of industrial and urban decay which permeate much of his work.
We've found it hard to put the music into words, suffice to say they are true breakbeat fueled, sonic journeys that feature razor-sharp drum programming and foreboding atmospherics - a must for any jungle/dnb head with a penchant for their music thoughtful, dark and moody.
Fushara aka Thushara Goonewardene is a London based electronic musician working with breakbeats, samples and synthesiser. A constant theme for his music is urban decay. From the late 90's Fushara has been involved with the London scene as a raver, DJ, and Producer. He has produced experimental work for labels such as Pineconemoonshine, MJAZZ and more recently Scientific Recordings. In 2015 he set up an imprint Lone Foundation to showcase experimental bass music collaborating with DAAT and others. More recently he has made a return to work with breakbeat collaborating with Infest for one of his tracks on his debut on Criterion Records and has signed to Flex Recordings for a forthcoming EP.
7th Storey Projects goes deep into the archives again and is very proud to present it's latest offering - an official repress of one of the nastiest, darkest, hardest and most sought-after Jungle Hardcore releases around. Jungle Buddha - The Green Buddha EP.
Made in a bedroom in darkest London town circa late 1992 by Mark Loy (Jungle Buddha), this EP has become known as a something of an influential precursor to the dark and gritty 'darkcore' sound that became prevalent in the rave scene in 1993.
Featuring three tracks of nasty, dark crunchy breakbeat hardcore, only veering off temporarily to offer the equally dark hardcore techno-styled 'Psalm IV'; this EP is not for the faint of heart.
With originals scarce and reaching resale prices of up to £200 on the second-hand market, the track on this release have been taken directly from the DAT masters, given some loving restoration treatment by Kieran Alexis at Simpatico Mastering and finally remastered and cut by the marvellous Beau Thomas at Ten Eight Seven Mastering - these low-fi gems have been given a new lease of life!
Pressed by Optimal:Media GMBH in Germany on 140g black vinyl.
